3; The Stars are Lucky

I woke up that morning at 8:30 on Draco's bed with arms around my waist. But upon further inspection, I noticed that they were Blaise's. Draco most likely kicked Blaise out of his bed and made him sleep with me. I don't mind because Blaise gives nice cuddles but I would have much rather woken up next to Draco.

I pulled myself away from Blaise as he rolled over in his sleep so I could hurry to my dorm and get dressed. As I ran into my dorm I noticed Pansy and Daphne sitting on Pansy's bed whispering and glaring at me while I got ready. Maybe it was because I walked in with Draco's sweatshirt on or the fact that I never came back to my dorm last night but either way I didn't care, I am excited I get to hang out with my mum.

I showered and got dressed all in time to go and wake up the boys. I put on a black top that I tucked into my green and black plaid skirt, with a pair of black stockings because if I'm going out with Mother I have to dress modestly. I then throw on my favorite oversized green velvet jacket that Blaise got me for my birthday last year and head down the hall to the boy's dorm.

I walked in, holding my shoes, to Blaise, Theo, and Draco all ready and waiting for me. Blaise was wearing a pair of patterned black and white trousers with a green turtleneck jumper. Draco was wearing an iconic all-black outfit, while Theo was wearing black trousers with a grey pullover.

"You're looking very much like a Slytherin today Vangie," said Blaise as I sat down on his bed to tug on my shoes. "Now hurry up. We're gonna be late!"

Tying up my laces I asked, "Since when have you ever cared about being late?"

"I only care about being late to meet mumsy." Blaise was now dragging me, Draco, and Theo out the door.

"Right I forgot you lot are more excited to see my mother than I am." I stopped to sit on the couch and wait for Enzo to come out of the seventh year boys dorm. "I think she loves you boys more than me"

"Especially me, I'm like the son she never had," Right as Theo said this Enzo came out of his dorm and smacked him on the arm.

"Oi, she already has a son," Enzo just glared at him. "You guys ready to go? Mum will probably already be there when we get there."

Enzo was right; when the five of us walked into the breakfast cafe Mum was already sitting down at one of the tables waiting for us. Theo and Blaise sat down next to her and I sat next to Draco Enzo across from them.

The boys started talking about school and other manly things while my mum's gaze was fixed on me. "When are you getting your dress for the gala?"

"Really mum, the New Year's gala is months away. Why are you asking me about it now?"

"Yeah I know, But Narcissa and I were talking and she wanted to know what color tie to get Draco." Every year either my mum or Narcissa holds a black and white New Year's gala on New Year's eve. It's black and white because all of the ladies' dresses are either black or white while the men usually wear a colored tie that matches the women's shoes or flowers they are wearing.

Draco coughed interrupting all of the table's conversation, "Um actually I'm taking Pansy this year. Tell Mother not to worry, I'll get one myself."

That one sentence was enough to have my world crumbling down. It sounds a bit dramatic but, every single year I have gone to every party and gala escorted by Draco. I only ever dance with him or Theo or Blaise and now he would be dancing with Pansy and not me. And I don't understand why he thought it was a good idea to bring this up for the first time while having breakfast with my mother. Everyone looked just as confused as I felt; the table was quiet for several minutes until Theo decided to break the silence with a joke. "So I'm assuming you're buying a tie color that will assault everyone's eyes, Draco? Knowing Pansy it will probably be bright pink."
