Monday 9:00am The day of the meeting
Waking up I found the other side of the bed empty. When I said he would be sleeping on the couch I kind of meant it even though a part of me hoped he didn't listen to me and came to bed anyways.
Getting out of bed I realized it was almost nine and I have to get to my dad's practice for this meeting he has yet to tell me what it is about.
Before I went to the bathroom, I went into the living room to see if he was there. But to no shock -what so ever- he wasn't there. Which makes me wonder where did he sleep last night?
Finishing up in the bathroom, I moisturized and start to put on my outfit of the day

I re-straightened my my wig making sure it was on point. Lastly, putting on my jewelry and spraying my Chanel N*5. I grab my phone, bag, and keys and I head for the practice.
As I started the car, my phone starting ring. I looked and saw it was Neveah and so I picked it up.
"HEYYY BITCHHH" she yelled loudly
Neveah was my twin and ride or die. We told each other everything and made sure to link up at least 3 times a week and when we didn't link up, we made sure to call each other. We both have busy schedules so this set up works.
"hey girl" I said still not in the mood from yesterday
"what's wrong Lani" she asked concerned
"Bryan stood me up again last night" I said still a little upset
"oh Lani... what did he say he was doing this time" she asked
"the same thing as last time and I'm so tired these lame ass excuses." I said getting riled up again
"Lani I'm not even gonna sugar coat it with you cause you know how I am. But do you think he could possibly be lying about where he be at?" she asked cautiously
"Veah no.... there's no way he could be. He does work at a financing company, so he probably does work really late". I said sounding unsure
"See Lani, even you sound unsure. If you feel some type of way, you should question him because I would hate to see you get married to that no good hoe ass nigga -no offense- and regret not seeing the signs earlier" Veah said thinking logically
"Maybe your right Veah" I said feeling a little better now that talked to her.
"Girl I know I'm right" she laughed
We talked a little bit more until I reached the practice.
"Ok bye... Love you too bitch" I said hanging up
I walk inside and greet the people at the front desk and made my way to my dads office. Once I reached the door I heard moans and a faint 'yes daddy'.
"uh huh... I know they not fucking in there" I mumbled to myself
I decided to leave and get breakfast while they finish up doing the nasty in there. As i'm walking out I tell the front desk that I'll be right back.
After I finish getting breakfast, I come back to the practice and made sure to get my parents breakfast too cause I know their old asses is tired from their "activities".
As reach my dad's door, I knock on it. Once I heard a faint come in, I opened the door cautiously.
"hey guys" I said
"Hey Lani" my parents said simultaneously
"So you guys hungry?" I asked knowing full and well they are
"yes"
"of course you guys are... ya nasties" I mumbled
"So you ready for the meeting later?" my dad asked
"Yea why wouldn't I be. It's just a meeting which you have yet to tell me what's it about" I said
"well that for us to know" he said gesturing to him and mom "and for you to know later" he pointed at me.
"ight whatever" I said playfully rolling my eyes
I checked my apple watch to see it was almost 11:30.
"oh Lani, do me a favor and give this patient's file to the office labeled Dr. Miller" he asked giving me his smile which Veah and I both inherited.
"aye, aye, captain" I said saluting him and taking the file from him.
I leave the office and look for a door labeled Dr.Miller. Once I found it, I knocked on the door. I heard a come in and walked in.
"um hi... Dr. King wanted me to give you this file" I said lightly and not look at the doctor
"This is Martin Young's fil-" I stopped talking once I look at him and GOD was this nigga fine.
It felt like we were staring at each other for eternity but when it was really just 10 seconds.
"um-....here's the um-... file" I said handing him the file.
"uh-.. yea.. thank you.." he said tryna to get my name
"oh um-... it's N-Nalani" I stuttered, probably looking stupid as shit
"hi I'm Landon" he said standing up and reaching his hand out to shake mine
We shook hands and I noticed him staring at my ring and so i cleared my throat and bid my goodbye and left.
As soon as I closed the door, I had to blink twice and refocus but for some reason I couldn't.
Finally the meeting has finally began and I finally get to find out what was so important that it was mandatory for me to be here.
