Shit.

I'm getting married.

I paced back and fourth in the room as I dwell on the subject even more.

"Land.. calm down" I heard Calvin say.

"I am calm. I just need a minute to process" I said. I walked to where there was alcohol but my dad stopped me.

"Your not going out there with you breath smelling like scotch" he said slapping my hand away.

He's right. But I'm nervous as shit.

"Who would had thought... Dr. Playboy would get married" Xavier joked.

"Right.. I thought you would settle down at 50" Xander joked and everyone laughed.

"Hahaha.. very funny. Not everyone gets married at 25 Xander... and Xavier your a playboy right now so I don't wanna hear it" I said looking in the mirror. I looked good as fuck.

"I never said there was anything wrong with playing the field. I just implied that it's a shock to all of us that you finally settled down" Xavier said adjusting his jacket.

'It's a shock to me too' I thought.

What if she looks at me and realizes I'm not what so wants anymore. What if we get married and over time she falls out of love.

"Hey guys" I heard. I looked in the mirror and saw Veah by the door. "Oh good you guys are all ready" she said as I turned around. "And thank god your a nervous wreck too" she said with a breath of relief.

"I'm not nervous" I lied and everyone in the room gave me the 'who your fooling' look.

"Nigga... it's all over your face" Calvin chuckled and everyone joined him.

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes.

'Is it really that obvious that I was nervous?'

"It's ok Lani is nervous too. She stress eating and we're trying to get her to stop eating and crying cause it's ruining her makeup" she giggled.
