40 - Can I Please Have Him Now?

Few months passed from the attack and everything slowly turned back to normal. Taehyung was still working at the tech shop but he also plans to run an online technical support and security consultation business where he can advise companies from the comfort of his home.

He could have a gotten a job at any big company with his degree now but he liked the country life with Jungkook too much to change. Jin and Jungkook knew exactly what Namjoon and Taehyung had given up for them and they felt very special.

Taehyung and Jungkook was at Taehyung's home, just relaxing when Jungkook decided to ask something that he's been thinking about for some time now.

"Tae..."

"Hmm..."

"Have you ever... uhh... visited Yoona's grave? Do you know where it is?" Jungkook asked tentatively.

Taehyung was lost in thoughts for few seconds and then answered.

"I've never had the chance to go there but I know where it is. Soobin told me."

"Do you think maybe we could... you know... go there and... uhh... pay our respects or something?"

Jungkook looked so nervous and uncomfortable, it made Taehyung gave a small smile.

"Do you want to go?" Taehyung asked as he held Jungkook's gaze to see his reaction.

"Y-yeah.. I would love that. Only if you want it too."

Taehyung pulled the younger one in to his lap and gently stroked his back.

"Ok. We can go tomorrow even, if you want. I've been meaning to go there for a while now, you know, after that whole fiasco ended. But I... uhh... wasn't sure how y-you would feel about that." Taehyung said the last part in a whisper.

Jungkook turned around to look at him straight in the eye, his expression was unreadable.

"Did you honestly think that low of me? That I would be mad and not even let you say goodbye?" Jungkook asked in a small voice, his voice betraying the pain he felt.

Taehyung sighed and tightened his hold even more. "Of course not baby, that's not what I meant. I thought you might feel bad for her. Her story is really tragic. I just didn't want to remind you anything from that past. After all that you went through, I don't want to see you get sad anymore." Taehyung explained gently.

"I can't forget her Tae. I will never forget her. She loved you and I can't even imagine what she must have felt like when she made all those plans to protect you. I'm forever grateful to her. A-and there's s-something I have to ask from her." Jungkook hid his face in Taehyung's chest at the last part. The elder felt curious at that but didn't say anything.

"Ok then, let's go tomorrow."

The ride to Seoul took few hours. They left early morning so that they can come back on the same day. Jin was very reluctant to let them go alone but eventually agreed.

Yoona's grave was a fancy one, believed to be fit for a queen of a multi company empire. But Taehyung knew better. Although she liked all that wealth and power, deep down in her heart, she was a simple girl, who just wanted to be loved. Whose biggest dream was to marry the man she loved, have his kids and grow all together.

They laid the bouquet of flowers that they brought and Jungkook then walked off a bit to let Taehyung say his goodbyes first. This was their moment and Jungkook didn't want to intrude on that. He stood a little far away, far enough to not hear what Taehyung is saying but still within the eyesight of the elder.

Jungkook watched as Taehyung talk and talk, finally breaking down and crying on his knees. His heart ached to hold and comfort Taehyung but he knew that this is something that Taehyung has to go through on his own. He will emerge stronger at the end of it.

It took a while for Taehyung to calm down and Jungkook patiently waited for him. Jungkook slowly walked to Taehyung and the elder pulled him in to a tight hug.

"T-thank you." Taehyung whispered against Jungkook's hair and that was all there was to say.

They stayed in each other's embrace for quite a while before Taehyung slowly pulled out.

"Didn't you say you have something to ask? Do you want me to give you some privacy?" Taehyung asked as he put a strand of hair behind Jungkook's ear.

"N-no, you can stay." Jungkook seemed nervous and Taehyung gave a reassuring nod. He took a step back, letting Jungkook have some space but kept his hand on younger's back for support.

Jungkook took a moment to gather his thoughts before speaking up.

"Hello Yoona. I know Taehyung introduced me to you when we first met but let me introduce myself again. I'm Jeon Jungkook, Taehyung's b-boyfriend."

Jungkook's voice shock a bit at the end and Taehyung slowly moved his hand along Jungkook's back a bit to calm him.

"I just want to say thank you for protecting Taehyung. You made sure he survived, even if you perished one day. I'm so sorry for what happened to you, from what I heard from Tae, you were a great person and doesn't deserve what you got. I hope you are in a better place now, filled with all the love you deserve."

"I r-read the letter you left for Taehyung, I hope you won't mind. I understand how much you loved him. You also gave him enough courage and strength so that he can pull himself out of the darkness. You were his light when he couldn't see the way himself."

"Others will wonder if a person can love someone this much but I know it's possible. Because I love him just as much. I love him so much that I can lay my life for him. I can do anything for him."

"I know I'm not capable of protecting him like you did, I'm not a powerful person like you. If anything, he will end up protecting me from the world. But I promise you, I will love and cherish him for the rest of my life."

"You told him to find someone who will love him and be happy. Is it really ok for us to do that? I promise I'll make him happy, each and every day of his life. I'll m-make him have his adorable boxy smile every day, it'll be for me and for you also."

"I fell in love with him at first sight and I think he did too, although he pretended otherwise for a while. He means the world to me. So what I want to ask from you is that, C-can I please have him now?"

Jungkook felt the tears running down on his cheeks as he said everything he had to say. After few seconds of silence, Taehyung gently wrapped his arms around Jungkook and hugged him from behind.

"Of course baby, you can have me. I'm all yours." Taehyung said as he rest his head on Jungkook's shoulder. They stayed like that for a while before Taehyung looked up again and spoke.

"Goodbye Yoona."

Jungkook and Taehyung turned around to walk out of the graveyard but someone was standing in front of them.

"Sehun!" Taehyung whispered as he gently pushed Jungkook behind him protectively and looked at the man standing in their way.
