So Erica and Zoe got kidnapped. We got them back.
But what about the Royal Banquet?
What about all the embarrassment of dancing with your partner? What had we decorated the whole palace for?
For today.
At exactly 7:30 AM, I had thrown myself off of my bed, in hopes of getting ready ahead of time. My worst nightmare was dancing with Erica while she got a nose full of my morning breath.
The night before, I had temporarily stopped by a clothes store and bought a tuxedo. The only difference between a normal tuxedo and mine was that there was a built-in parachute attached to the back- safe, but not stylish.
After taking a shower and applying just a little bit too much cologne and shampoo, I stumbled out of the bathroom and struggled into my new tuxedo. Seeing that it was just bought last night, it was still stiff. This made dressing in the morning ten times harder than it should've been.
My hair was as usual- a rat's nest. Thank god whoever invented gel, since simple water and a hairbrush couldn't do much against my head. Six minutes, a bottle of Paul Mitchell and a lot of patience were all I needed to overcome the mess.
My teeth were brushed ten times cleaner than any other day. My hair was perfectly combed, and my tuxedo had no wrinkles. By the time I walked out of my dorm in leather shoes, I was sure I looked good- at least until I saw Erica.
She was strolling around the corner when I came- and my pupils immediately took in the eye candy.
Erica was wearing a ruffled open shoulder-top with red heels in which she was walking in. Her hair was perfectly swept onto her shoulders, and paired with her striking eyes and white, fashionably ripped jeans, she was a knockout.
She even had put on makeup, which just enhanced her look even more. I tried not to trip over my own feet when she gave me a hi look and passed by. My nose took in a whiff of perfume as she strolled over to Zoe's room and knocked on her door.
I shook my head. If I was barely managing to stand after taking one look at Erica, how the heck was I going to survive the whole banquet!?
My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out, reading the screen. Mike had sent me a text.
Mike: Ready for the hot date with Ice Queen? 😅
I shook my head in disgust. Boys these days.
Benjamin: I'm only going to tell you this once- it's not a date.
Mike: Keep telling yourself that, Romeo.
Benjamin: Don't you dare start with that nickname 😣
Mike: Okay, Romeo.
If you could punch someone virtually, then I would be abusing that power right now. I made a mental note to get Mike in the shoulder the next time I saw him.
Erica walked out of Zoe's room, followed by Zoe. I practically stumbled on my feet again when I saw her strike a smile at me.
Zoe was wearing a v-neck white dress, paired perfectly with a golden necklace and earrings. He golden brown high heels and gloves paired perfectly with her eyes, and my breath escaped my mouth without my permission when Erica walked out behind her.
I turned away, mentally chiding myself, and commanding my breath to re-enter my body. After taking three deep breaths, I closed my eyes and started heading over to Mike's dorm.
The second I arrived at the door, it flew open, slamming me backwards into the wall of the hallway. Mike stood there, looking perfectly debonair in his tuxedo, diabolical grin on his face.
