Erica tried not to act surprised. She failed to do as follows.

"You," she seethed, picking up poor James by the scruff of his neck. "You were working for SPYDER this whole time, and somehow I didn't realize it?!"

"I-i'm not, I swear! Jonas is setting me up!" James cried, doing an impressive backflip and dislodging himself from her grip. "And don't you dare try to challenge me in combat- I'm very similar to my brother, who is backstabbing me right now!"

He launched a glare at Jonas. Jonas just shrugged, sending his men to start cornering us. James lowered his glare even more and held up a gesture with his hand that wasn't very family-friendly.

Erica, despite herself, seemed to believe James. If James was really better than Erica in fighting, it was pretty obvious that he could've disarmed her earlier and killed all of us without even trying. He also seemed very friendly- to me, at least.

Cly, on the other hand, was just kind of panicking in a way. He wasn't used to this kind of 'bad-guy comes and threatens to kill us' vibe, and I could tell his mind was racking with ideas. Even though I hadn't got to know the guy yet, I could already tell he was more of the brains than brutal type.

I watched as his eyesight went from the light switch next to Joshua over to the alternative exit on the other side of the theater. I immediately caught on with the plan, though it had some flaws.

What I deduced was that he was trying to somehow going to manage to turn off the theater lights, and in the darkness and chaos, herd us agents out of here while managing to get the evidence from SPYDER that Erica wanted.

Yeah, sounded impossible. Pretty much basically the same as everything else we did here as spies.

James stood in front of us, eyesight trained on his brother.

Erica was glaring at Joshua, though I could detect a look of hurt in her eyes. On the other hand, me and Cly were just existing here for pretty much no reason.

The two bodyguards suddenly jumped out at us from behind a row of seats, but I was ready for this. Grabbing Cly and stepping aside in one swift move, the two men stumbled past us, barely missing the tackle.

After watching the two buff guards crash into the row of seats behind us, I quickly pressed a button that immediately closed all the seats, virtually trapping the two people within the smell of butts.

"Yeah!" Cly said, pumping his fist. "That's what I'm talking about!"

I didn't mention the fact that I did all of the work, because it looked as if Cly needed a boost in his self-esteem to be able to hold off against these people. After all, he had no kind of battle training experience whatsoever.

James and Erica were now facing off against their respective enemies, both looking like they were straight from some kind of martial-arts movie. Erica was barely avoiding Joshua's punches, only quickly throwing brief hits that landed on their target.

James and Jonas, on the other hand, made fighting look easy. Each of them moved with the agility and speed at least a few times Erica's, jumping and pouncing. Each one dodged the other's moves with impressive motions- first being a backflip, second being a frontflip, third being a combination of both.

It took a while for me to finally realize that the point of me and Cly here wasn't just to watch.

Cly quickly spotted the third bodyguard creeping towards us from behind.

Guys, this part was supposed to stretch to about 2014 words, but for some random reason 1600 of them just got deleted. I couldn't get the work back, so I'm re-writing it and putting it as a separate part.

Sad 😭😭😭😭
