Chapter 60

Kierra POV
It was a hour after 8:30. Qua wanted me to meet him downstairs at 8:30 but I had Royalty last night and she didn't want to go to sleep so I ended up being up late with her and fell asleep and woke up late. I decided to text Qua and ask him did he still want to go out for breakfast or was it canceled.

iMessage to Qua🙄
"Are we still going out to talk or what?"
                                                               Delivered

It took Qua about 5 mins to text back. I'm guessing he was still asleep too.

                                                          "Yeah. My fault. I was still sleep myself. I think they cooking though so I guess we gone have to tell them we going to talk" Qua texted

"Yeah you telling them because Kehlani's mom will give me that parent look. " I texted

                                                           "Scary ass. Ight " Qua said

Qua really couldn't call me scary because Qua was scared of Treys parents so I guess we both scary. After Qua texted that I left Royalty in the bed to sleep and headed out of the room downstairs. Before I headed towards the steps Qua's door opened.

"You ready?"Qua asked
"Yeah. How are we going to tell everybody? Nobody knows we sneaking out" I asked
"I got this. Just follow my lead" Qua said walking towards the steps

I followed Qua downstairs to the kitchen where Mrs Williams and Mrs Johnson, Kehlani Seven were. I forgot I called Kehlani and made sure they were out the hospital after I called I fell right back asleep.

"Hey girll. How you feeling?" I asked as I hugged Kehlani
"I'm good now that I'm back around family" Kehlani said
"That's good. How's my niece?" I asked
"She's healthy as ever. I just have to get plenty of rest" Kehlani said
"You do because you been trying to do a lot since you've been pregnant. You gotta slow your roll best" I said
"I know I know. My two moms just gave me a whole speech about it. " Kehlani said
"You know how they are about you" I said
"Exactly. Where's Jay, Jada and Legend?" Kehlani asked
"I honestly don't know. I just actually left my room" I said
"Okay. When you see them tell them I asked about them" Kehlani said
"You ready?"Qua asked
"Yeah" I said getting up
"Where y'all going?" Mrs Johnson asked
"Oh um...."I said looking at Qua
"We going out just to talk. Me and Kierra. We need to talk alone we might go ahead and eat something while we're out" Qua said
"Why couldn't you just tell me that Kierra?" Mrs Johnson asked me
"I don't know" I said
"We'll go ahead then. More food for us" Mrs Williams said
"Okay" I said

Me and Qua headed out towards the door got out jackets and headed outside to the car. Once we were both in the car Qua pulled off. We headed to Eggs up grill. It was the closest to the house so that's where we headed. Took us about 10 mins to get there. When we got there we got out and started walking to the door. Qua opened the door for me like he always did. Qua was and always will be a gentleman no matter what terms me and him are on. Once we got inside we waited for a waitress to come and give us a place to sit. The waitress finally came and took a took a booth. We got our menus and he took our order for drink and went to get them. I was looking over the menu until Qua broke the silence.

"You ready to talk?" Qua asked
"I'm waiting on you. You the one who said you wanted to apologize to me" I said still looking at the menu
"Damn you giving me the cold shoulder?" Qua asked
"Qua say what you have to say please" I said now looking at him
"Ight. I'm sorry" Qua said
"You said that already. " I said
"I'm sorry for hurting you kierra. I'm not meaning to hurt you, I'm in love with you I just got a hard time of showing it" Qua said

I was about to respond back to what he said but the waitress came back with our drinks and asked her was we ready to order. He took our orders and went off to prepare them.

"You was about to say something" Qua said
"If you're in love with me, why do you keep doing the things you do? You don't hurt somebody you love. And you definitely don't move on from somebody you say you're in love with" I said
"I moved on because we weren't actually ready like we said we were. Yeah at the time we thought we were but we weren't. You ever heard of right person wrong time?" Qua asked
"Yeah I have" I said
"Then that's what it was. But I'm ready for real this time. I wanna be with you. I now know how to handle you and your attitudes and I know how to not give up on you" Qua said

I thought about what Qua said. He's ready. I'm a hard person to deal with. I don't think he's 100% ready. But I'm willing to give Qua another chance. A 3rd chance....

"I'm willing to give you another chance. But Quavious if you mess up this time then I'm done. There's no coming back and me and you are co-parenting Royalty." I said
"I promise I'm not going to hurt you again" Qua said grabbing my hand
"I hear you" I said looking down
"Look at me" Qua said
"What?" I said
"I'm not going to hurt you" Qua said looking in my eyes
"I heard you the first time you know" I said
"Had to make sure with that small head of yours. You know you don't process things good" Qua said

I smiled.

"There's the smile I wanted to see" Qua said
"Shut up" I said
"I love you Kierra" Qua said
"I love you too Quavious" I said
