He took my hand and led me to his car. We got in and drove off.

"You look beautiful today, Arlene." Brian smiled. I blushed.

"You look very good too, Brian." He chuckled and shifted up a gear.

"Who made your hair so beautiful for you? Was that you yourself?" Brian asked interested.

"Indeed it was, Malcolm." I chuckled. He laughed.

"Oh yes, good old Malcolm. There's really nothing, or very rare, that he can't do." I nodded, smiling. Soon we arrived in front of a restaurant. Brian opened the door for me and we went inside holding hands. We were shown to a table.

"Really classy, Brian." I grinned.

"Only the best for you." I blushed again. He smiled. "You're cute when you blush." I got even redder and he grinned. We ordered our food and drinks and talked. It was really fun! Brian was a totally cool guy. After eating, we went through a park. It was already dark.

"It's beautiful here. Don't you agree?" Brian asked.

"Yes. It's really nice here." I nodded and looked at the starry sky. "The stars are pretty bright." He also looked at the sky. God. His eyes sparkled and reflected the stars. I had to smile.

"Yes. The stars are pretty beautiful today." Suddenly he hugged me against a tree and kissed me tightly. I gasped sharply. When I recovered, I kissed him back. We pulled apart grinning.

"Was that a voluntary kiss now?" I teased. He grinned. God. He was just so handsome.

"Yes. That was voluntary." He chuckled. He took my hand. "Arlene...I think I love you." My heart was racing fast in my chest. "But you know...I don't think I'm ready for a relationship yet. I'll wait a little longer if that's okay. I know you love me too." I smiled a little tightly.

"Yes. I love you too." He kissed me gently. "And I'll be waiting for you, Brian Francis Johnson." He beamed at me.

"Thank you. You're the best woman I've ever met." I blushed again. He grinned. His pearly teeth shone. We went on happily. "So...I love you...okay? But..."

"We'll wait a little longer with the relationship." I completed the sentence. He nodded. I took off his slate cap and stroked his hair. "This is not a problem. I love you and I will wait for you." He smiled. We walked a little more through the park. Brian bought me an ice cream. It was so nice here. "Brian?"

"Yes?" He asked.

"You like cars, don't you?" I asked. He looked at me in surprise.

"Yes, I like cars. You too?" I nodded eagerly.

"Yes. I love cars." He beamed at me.

"She's in love with her car." He grinned. I started to laugh.

"I'm not Roger Taylor!" I shouted, laughing. He giggled.

"I know. Roger Taylor is not as beautiful as you are." He smiled and pushed the little curl off my face. I looked up at him because I was a little shorter than him.

"But he's blonde too." I teased.

"That's true, though." He said seriously and then we both laughed. We took each other's hand and walked a little through the park. It was getting really late. We sat on a park bench and looked up at the stars. Brian had an arm around me and I was leaning against him. That was the best day of my life. I had never felt so loved as I do now.

When it was 11 p.m., we drove back by car. A light was on in the house, at the top of the communal lounge, which was also used as a rehearsal room. Loud music echoed through the house. What was that? Brian helped me out of the car and we went into the house. Linda and Ellen sat downstairs. Where were Cliff and Phil? Well, they probably went out drinking.
