The next morning, May 10, 2039, Los Angeles Community Hospital, Los Angeles, California, 7:00AM
After getting to the hospital at 5:30AM, Audrey was rushed to the operating room to have an emergency c-section when she started bleeding. She was terrified, but still knew her little girl wasn't there. It was just her body. That's all. She and Peyton didn't say anything during the surgery. Peyton was just holding her hand the whole time.
It was too heartbreaking for them.°°°
Two hours after delivery, Audrey's Recovery Room
Audrey was crying while she was holding her stillborn daughter.
"I can't believe she's gone." She wiped her cheeks with one hand. "I...I didn't do anything to harm her! That's what they told me!" She layed her head back on the pillow. She knew she didn't do anything to harm their little girl, but yet, Bayleigh isn't here with them anymore. She was just fine the other day. She was fine. Now, she isn't.
Peyton sighed deeply. Tears running down his cheeks as he looked at their stillborn daughter, as he was sitting in the chair beside his wife. "I love you and I can't believe she's gone."
Audrey sniffed. "She looks like you in the face..." She sobbed slightly as she looked at him. "Do you hate me?" She asked him.
Peyton shook his head. "No, I don't, Auds. You didn't do anything wrong."
Audrey placed Bayleigh in the nurses arms and then cuddled into her hospital bed as tears fell down her cheeks. "Is everyone here?"
Peyton sighed. "I think so...I'm not sure..." He squeezed her hand. "I'm going to go check..." He walked to the door and opened the door and walked out of the room to see their family and friends outside the room.
Cara sniffed. "How is she? How are you?"
Peyton shook his head tears running down his cheeks. "We're not feeling good. We're grieving. Why did Bay have to leave us?"
Cara hugged her son as she cried. "I don't know, honey. I really don't know."
Bailey walked over to her son in law. "Can I go in and see her?"
Peyton nodded. "I'm sure she'd want to see you. Go ahead in."
Bailey nodded. "Thank you." She went into Audrey's hospital room and walked over to her looking at her. "Hey honey. How are you feeling?"
Audrey looked at her mother as she sobbed. "I didn't do anything wrong, Mom! I...I didn't drink...I didn't smoke! I didn't eat anything that would harm her..." She sobbed into the blanket. "I swear! I don't know why she's gone. My baby is gone..." She cried loudly.
Bailey hugged her and rubbed her back. "I'm so sorry honey." She kissed her head. "Of course you didn't. You didn't do anything wrong. It's not your fault. None of this is your fault. You didn't harm her. Life is precious you never know when it's your time to go to heaven all you have to do is make the best of the situation..."
Audrey nodded her head slowly as she hugged her mother. "I guess so..." She sniffed. "Does Dad know?"
Bailey nodded. "He does. He's at home with Ari. She got a stomach bug and your dad decided to stay with her. He told me to give you a kiss and a hug." She did that and sighed. "Honey, you'll be okay. You'll heal and then you'll have another child with you..."
Audrey breathed deeply. "I don't think I can think about that now, Mom. Did...Did you or Aunt Maya ever...you know miscarry?"
Bailey nodded. "I did. Twice. Six months after Beth and then before Ariana. Aunt Maya had once before Dakota."
Audrey nodded as she wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry, Mom."
Bailey sighed. "Honey, you'll get through this I know you will..."
Audrey nodded. "I hope so..."
°°°
A few days later, May 13, 2039 Audrey got out of the hospital bed slowly. "I can't wait to get the fuck out of here..."
Peyton nodded. "Me too..." He helped her up. "Your mom packed up my car for us so we can just get in and go home..."
Audrey nodded slowly. "Okay..."
Audrey groaned in pain as Peyton helped her into his car. "It hurts so bad..."
Peyton sighed. "I know, baby. I'm sorry." He said, shutting the door and then hopping into the driver's seat, driving them home in silence.

Peyton and Audrey's Townhome, Los Angeles, California
Audrey moaned as both Rich and Peyton helped her inside. "Oh my God. I hope I never ever have to have another c-section..."
Rich sighed. "You're doing well. Better than Peyton's mom. She cursed at me when she first got home." He chuckled as he opened the front door for her and Peyton.
Audrey nodded slowly. "My mom did the same." She walked slowly to the couch and layed down. She sighed deeply. "Thanks for helping."
Peyton looked at her. "Do you want tea, babe?"
Audrey nodded her head slowly. "I guess, yeah..."
Peyton nodded as he walked to the kitchen to make Audrey a cup of tea. Once the tea was prepared he brought it over to her. "Here." He handed her the cup of tea.
Audrey smiled softly. "Thanks."
Rich sighed. "You guys need me to stay?"
Peyton shook his head. "We're good, Dad. Thanks."
Rich nodded as he kissed Audrey's head before hugging Peyton and heading out to his car.
Audrey sighed as she took a sip of her tea. "So, how long are you taking off?"
Peyton paused. "I was able to take off 4 weeks. Your mom and my mom are willing to take turns for the next 4 weeks to help you if you are okay with that..."
Audrey nodded. "I don't think I have a choice. I don't fully heal until 8 weeks..." She said, through tears. "I can't even see the reason I have this scar..." She sighed. "She's just...in heaven and...there's no way for me change that..."
Peyton walked over to his wife, sat beside her and pulled her into his arms and she sobbed into his shoulder. "Oh, baby. I love you so much. So much." He said, kissing her head softly. "You are my world. I hate seeing you so hurt. It kills me..." He said, as tears came to his eyes and Audrey wrapped her arms around his neck as they both sobbed in each other arms.
"I love you so much." Peyton whispered in her ear.
They stayed like this for the rest of the night, falling asleep on the couch in each other's arms.
