Moving In

Chapter3: Points of view

A/n: Hello! I hope you have been enjoying the story so far! Also, sorry for not making chapter2 not as good as chapter1. I kinda ran out of ways to celebrate. Story will continue but, let's see some other people's points of view now, shall we?

Nya's POV

Hmm... Today was a nice day. Yeah, that's a good way of saying it. I guess Skylor's 'time of reflection' isn't that bad...

But then again, even if I knew Skylor likes self care, I didn't know she got everyone in it with her. And, I guess I have put off hanging out with her in favour of buying material for next semester.

So, now I focus on my day.

Let's see, I woke up, got dressed (Kai said that I should wear something nice because Jay would be here), had my morning coffee, got my books and sat down to study a bit. Kai might not be into studying, but it's still important to me. So I did that for an hour.

Then I heard a commotion which I presume was Jay, so, having not seen him in a long time, I got out of my room and went to meet him.

On the way I saw Lloyd and Zane preparing the party for Jay. This is going to be fun.

So, I went to Cole and Zane's shared apartment which Jay would be moving in to, when I saw him. Hmm. He's changed a bit too. Now having Auburn hair instead of his old chestnut, and sporting freckles, he looked kinda cute..... And muscular.... And then those beautifully blue eyes.. So precious.... Wait what? Umm, that never happened....

We quickly proceeded to exchange greetings and went our ways.

Then the party. Where for a second I thought Kai's hand was on fire for some weird reason.

And to be honest, I actually did like Jay's return. And by the sound of the others, they did too. Of course, I left the boys there early to visit Skylor.

"So, how's your old friend Jay?" And that popped me out of my bubble.

"He's nice. Why?" I ask. I don't like the smirk on her face.

"Hm nothing. Just curious." She stated.

And an awkward silence fills the air.

"Ok. How is your pre-semester studying going?" Skylor asked, attempting to break the ice.

"Uh nice." I answered.

And then, to my relief, there was a knock on the door.

I quickly went to answer and saw Jay and Cole at the door.

"Hey Jay, Cole." I said.

"Hey Nya. Jay would like a tour of the city. I can't go since me and Zane need to uhh do something. Kai's busy too. And Seliel went to get some groceries earlier."
Cole explains. Hmm.. ok. I can give Jay a tour of the city.

"Ok. I can give you a tour, Jay. I have a bike parked down at the parking if you want to go now." I said as if it was nothing. It really isn't, anyway.

"Thanks! I'll see you both later!" Cole said as he walked away.

"Uh thanks Nya." Was all Jay said.

"No biggie." I replied.

"Come on, let's go." I said as I led him down to the parking lot.

To be honest, I'm very excited to be giving him a tour of the city! He and I were very good friends back in middle school. To be honest, he was my only friend other than Seliel. And, I guess he was a bit more than a friend to me, but now he's just a friend... Right?

Zane's POV

Hmm.. now that Cole has distracted Jay, me and him can start preparing his surprise. His very own Ninja suit which matches our own.

And now, two questions strike me.

"Cole?" I ask.

"Yeah, Zane?" Cole replies, obviously frustrated with the harness he's unable to buckle on Jay's suit.

"Before you and Jay entered the room for our party, I heard you and him talking about a few things. Is Jay okay?" And what is this strange feeling I get when I'm around PIXAL? But I feel as if it is not right to ask the latter as Jay's well-being should come first.

"To be honest, Zane, I don't think so. I think he knows more than what he's telling us about the past few years. That's why I got Nya to give him a tour. I know those two, and I also know that he's very open about his emotions when with her." Cole replies in a worried but determined tone as he attempts-and fails- to buckle the harness.

"Uhh a little help?" He asks.

"Of course." I reply as I buckle it for him.

"Thanks, Zane. This'll be a good surprise for him." He says to me.

"You are welcome." I reply as I should.

"Speaking of which, I think we should talk to Morro and Seliel about Jay. They know him better than us." Cole says.

"That would be a good idea. Though I expect you to do so." I reply, as Kai, Lloyd and I agreed that anything involving Seliel should be left to Cole.

"Uhh sure." Cole says.

Jay's POV

Ahh. Have I missed hanging out with Nya.

And the city is cool too. But mostly Nya.

We visited the park, the neighbouring places to our apartments, she showed me BorgTower, we also returned after a bit more touring but didn't tell anyone, and right now I'm standing next to her on the roof of our building.

And that's when I realise, I like her. And, 'like' as in 'love'. But that raises the question of, does she like me back? Ok, now I know why Cole is nervous around Seliel. What if she doesn't like me back?! What if she sees me as an acquaintance?!
What if she secretly hates me?! Oh no no no no. Don't be silly, Jay, why would she hate you, right? I mean, I'm one of her friends, why would she hate me? And she looks so, peaceful..... Augh Goddammit! Is it this easy for me to start crushing on her all over again?!

"Jay? Jaayy? Hellooo?" Suddenly, her voice rings into my ears.

"Ohh uhh yeah?" I stammer out. Ugh, I really hope I don't look like an idiot in front of her.

"You seemed.... Distant. Are you ok? I can take you back if you want." She asks. Umm.. I think I should stay.

"Oh no, I'm okay. I just.... zoned out." I quickly reply.

"Is it normal for you to do that? If you're not okay, we can still go back, if you want." She asks, a bit curious.

"Uhh no. I usually zone out when I'm..... Distracted." By you. Not telling though.

"Mmhhmm... Okay. There are a few more places to see, then we can go home. So, come on! Let's go!" She says enthusiastically. And, I guess I've never seen her this excited. This tour must really mean something to her.

"Ok." I say as I follow her to her bike.

This is a really nice way to spend my first evening here.

A/n: Next chapter will see some Ninja action! I promise! Also, can anyone guess which suit of Jay Zane and Cole are working on? Important note: Everything till now takes place on January 14th in my timeline!
