Chapter4: Call for rescue

Cole's POV

This is great. Just, Great.

Of all the things we could be doing right now, we're doing this. Dodging criminals who've somehow acquired vengestone and are now using it for weapons.

"Listen guys, I appreciate the new suit and all, but this is a bit out of my league in crime fighting!" Jay yells over to us as we run around the warehouse, dodging criminals and trying to come up with a plan to take them down.

I can't believe how quickly it went from hanging out at the cafe to this.

There we were, hanging out in the cafe, casually drinking our coffee and chatting, when we got a call from Morro.

"Uhh, guys, I might need a little help here."
He said in a rush.

"Huh? What kind of help?" Jay asked, obviously not catching Morro's drift.

"The kind where there are thugs chasing at me with vengestone!" He replied in a panicked tone.

"Hang on, we're coming to help!" I said, now wondering....

"Where did they even get vengestone?" Zane asked, confused.

"What's vengestone?" Jay asked. Wow, he didn't know what vengestone is?

"Uh more importantly, where are you Morro?" Lloyd asked our buddy.

"At an old warehouse near the docks. Hurry!" Morro replied and hung up.

"What is vengestone?" Jay asked again.

"Vengestone is a type of material that can block elemental power." Zane replied, answering Jay's question.

"Oh. Well, let's go!" He said as we all got up from our seats, payed the bill and went into an alley, changing into our Ninja suits while hiding our normal clothes and stuff.

"Ninja-Go!" We all shouted as we raced above the ground on the rooftops, wind flowing in our faces.

When we finally reached the warehouse Morro was talking about, we all went quite so as to not alert the thugs.

Zane spotted Morro hiding behind a container, with a thug near him. We watched as Morro incapacitated him by surprise and ran over a hastily formed plan.

"Alright, so, I'll take that thug, Cole will take the big one, Kai and Zane can take those thugs over there and Jay can assist Morro. Clear?" Lloyd whispered.

"I" we all whisper back. I see my target. A bigger than normal, fat-looking, thug who's holding what looks to be a big stick made out of vengestone.

"Ninja-Go!" We all shout as we land on our foes, startling them with the element of surprise.

The big guy looks even more dangerous up close, I observe.

"Don't let them get away!" He shouts as he charges at me, being nearest to him, and tries to land a blow with his stick. I quickly dodge his blow and strike back with my hammer, hitting his elbow.

"Aahh" He shouts as I land yet another blow on him. Pffftt. This guy is an easy picking. I quickly jump back and spring forward in another attack, this time hitting his knee. And with that he falls to the ground.

My foe defeated, I turn around to see Jay and Morro taking on two thugs while Kai and Zane took on another pair of them. This should be easy with all of us, I think.
And, I'm wrong. Just as the last guy is knocked out, a strange looking fellow in a corner of the the warehouse, holding.... Lloyd?! Oh no!

"Put him down!" I shout. Who the heck is this guy?

" Oh I'll put him down alright. Hehe. This has been long time coming, Ninja!" The weird guy says.

"Wait!" Jay shouts. I think he has a plan. Or at least, trying to buy Lloyd some time.

"Make it quick, Ninja. My criminal empire won't run itself." The villain replies.

"What about a deal? You leave now, Mechanic, or I unleash you-know-what."
Jay said in a taunting tone. Wait, so this guy's known as mechanic? And what's this you-know-what? And why is the mechanic suddenly scared of it?

"Uhh I-I'll just l-leave...." The mechanic says. One acronym. WTF?!

And so he proceeds to drop Lloyd and run to the exit. How?!

And from the look on the other's faces, I'm not the only one here who's baffled.

"Let's just say that me and him have a 'history'. And I actually don't have you-know-what on me right now, hehe."
Jay says, answering some of our questions.

Ok. Things should have been easy now, right? Except the mechanic heard Jay. And the trouble started again. Though at least Lloyd was with us this time.

So he heard us and started shooting flames at us. And got more minions armed with vengestone at us.

Which got us here.

"Where's Samurai X when you actually need him?!" Kai asked while we were running.

"Who's Samurai X?" Jay asked.

"Him!" I point and shout towards his mech, where he's taking on every thug at once and swatting them like flies. And just went away, leaving us with incapacitated thugs.

"Oh well. Let's go guys. Our job was done here." I say as we get back up, head to the alleyway and get back into our normal clothes.

"That guy was awesome! Did you see his mech? It's unlike anything I saw before!" Jay says.

"Yeah, Jay. We know Samurai X." I say.

"Oh well. Anyone up for video game night?" He asks.

"Ok. Let's play!" I say as we head home.

"Yeah me too." Kai says.

"Count me in." Lloyd says.

"I will also play." Zane says.

"Well, then, Game on!" Jay says as he takes off running.

"Hey!" Wait for us! I hear Kai yell as we race back home.

Well then, Game on!

Plus, it'll take a bit of time as I have to start it from scratch because for some reason the draft I had for it got deleted. I wonder how. (Looking at you, Wattpad.)
