Jay's POV
I'm getting ready for my first day of actually being at school, when Cole's words ring back to me.
School.
A mentally and physically straining torture chamber that resembles a prison lasting for soooooo many years where everyone has to eventually go. That was the description of school given to me by Cole. And to be honest, I'm terrified by it. I mean, what if someone bullies me?! Or pranks me, or I land in trouble for breaking a rule I didn't know about, or I don't pass, or...... Ok. Calm down. Deep breath. It's all gonna be okay, Cole probably over exaggerated, and it's nothing. Yeah, probably that.... I hope.I take a deep breath and release it. One very good way to calm down.
"It's just school. I've faced thugs and crooks. How hard can this be? Right? I'm basically a superhero! In secret, sure, but I can do this! I'm the-"
"Jay? Why are you screaming in the morning?" Cole asks, interrupting me. HE HEARD MY SCHOOL FEAR! Oh god no! He's gonna tease me so bad....
"Uhhh I was.... Harmonizing for my.... Music class?" I ask. Hopefully he won't notice that I'm not in music class in the first place.
"Jay, you're not in music class. And also, I heard what you were screaming about. Scared of school eh?" He asks, a sly grin showing on his face.
"W-what? N-no I'm not! School's just a place, right?" I ask, again hoping he can't see through me.
"And you don't crush on Nya, yada yada yada. Sure you may deny it, but you know as well as me, Walker, you can't hide anything from your best friend." Cole says, in an..... Encouraging voice?
"Jay crushes on Nya?" Zane says as he pokes his head from the entrance of his room.... Oh no! Zane heard Cole! What am I going to do now?! And from the looks on both of their faces, I don't think those two are going to make things easy for me..........
"Oh you bet he does." Cole says in his (in)famous teasing tone.
"Ahem. I'm still here you know." I say as I hope to look serious.
"It doesn't matter, Zaptrap. We still know you crush on Nya." Cole replies. Ugh! Zaptrap?! How dare he?!
And to make things worse, Zane starts teasing too.
"I believe I should say,
Jay and Nya!
Sitting in a tree!
K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"Are you kidding me?!!!
And now the both start laughing. Great.
"Come on! Let's just get ready for school!" I say, annoyed, and I have every right to be.

Kai's POV
Ugh. School. This is going to be sooo boooring.
I get into the bus with the others, and I notice some kids casting glances at Jay. Hmm... This can either mean two things.
Either they want to bully him, or they're suspicious of him because most kids don't join school at this grade."Psst, Cole." I whisper to him. He's Jay's best friend, he probably knows what to do. "Notice any of the other kids looking at Jay in a weird way?"
"Yeah. We'll have to keep an eye on Jay. Sit down, the teacher's stop is here." He whispers back as we all take our seats. Nya with me, Cole and Jay, Lloyd and Zane. I know I might sound irrational, but I purposefully sit with Nya because I think she still needs my protection. Sure, she may say that she can take care of herself, but I know that there are a lot of people who'd harass her and do whatnot to her. I clench my fists at the very thought of someone doing any funny business with her.

Cole's POV
After we arrived at school, I decided to show Jay around, at which Kai volunteered himself and Nya. I know he volunteered himself because he wanted to keep Jay safe from those seriously suspicious kids earlier, and he wanted to keep an eye on Nya, but now he's just overprotective. Though I don't think Jay minds about Nya, hehe.....
After showing him some common areas, we head to our classroom for our first class, Literature. It's also the only class everyone in our friendgroup is sharing, because after that Jay, Nya, Zane and Pixal have a robotics class, I have a music and dance class, Kai and Lloyd have a history class, Skylor has a free period, Morro has a physics class and Seliel has biology. And so, on and on with different classes, occasionally meeting in free periods and while rushing to class till the lunch break.
And that's the bigger picture, as most classes you're stuck with teachers babbling on about their subject.
"Everyone, please welcome Mr. Jay Walker to the class." The teacher announces. "He had previously been studying in this school under the long distance learning program."
Of course, as you'd expect, many snicker at his name. And to be honest, it's kinda funny.
"Silence in the class! Jay, you can sit with whomever has a free seat with them."
I raised my hand, signalling him to come over. And he does.
The rest of the period is just the teacher babbling away and us being forced to listen to her. Honestly, she's even worse then Jay's blabber!
Of course, after we get out of class, Jay makes it worse.
"Okay. Now that I can speak, what's this between you and Seliel?" He asks. Oh no. I'll have to be careful here. If he's even half as overprotective as Kai, I'm dead.
"Uhh, what are you talking about? I don't have anything between me and her." I reply. Dangit, that was a horrible answer.
"Yeah, and sheep fly. I've seen the way you look at her, Romeo. The look of affection and nervousness in your eyes is a big giveaway. Tell me the truth." Oh dangit! Seriously!
"Did you take a course in psychology or something?!" And that, is my only reply.
"I actually did. You would have known if you were paying attention when we were buying our books instead of staring at Seliel." He replies in a calm manner. You've got to be kidding me! He saw that too?!
"Uhh, umm, would you not kill me if I said yes to the first question and we pretended this conversation never happened?" I ask. And, this is bad! What if Seliel knows too?! She'll probably see me as a weirdo!
"Haha! Not at all, buddy, not at all! Though on two conditions." After his serious voice, I'm not feeling good about this, but, if he doesn't mind about me asking Seliel, then ok.
"What conditions are those?" I ask. I don't like the look of that grin on his face.
"That you let me help. And that would be a good idea, if I were you. I'm her brother afterall. And," Jay drops his voice very low, "You help me to impress Nya and avoid Kai's wrath.."
"AHA! YOU DO LIKE HER!" I shout, probably louder than I should have, at least no one is paying attention to us.
"Not so loud! Do you want Nya and Kai to hear?!" He asks.
"Oh right, sorry." I apologise. And the bell rings. Thank the first spinjitzu master this conversation is over.
We both proceed to say our 'byes' and go out ways.
Hmmm. Maybe Jay will actually help me here.
