This is a flashback from seven years ago, when Zues' bolt was stolen. Thea is Ten, but in this flashback I am going to refer to her as Aquarius to avoid confusion, and because this is like a god's perspective kinda deal. Happy reading!
Aquarius walked through Olympus, the demigods and nymphs she passed bowed respectfully to her and she smiled and nodded in response. She had been called to Olympus and brought back from her mission early. It wasn't unusual, maybe her target wasn't a threat anymore or someone more powerful came into the picture and the gods wanted her to handle it. But something was off. Intense storms followed her all the way here.
Even the smiles that the citizens of Olympus gave her were uneasy. So despite her wishes Aquarius was a little nervous, but she didn't show it. Confidence and calmness were the only emotions on display, just like she was trained.
Aquarius finally reached the Olympian gods council room. She flattened down her backless emerald green romper, and pushed her fishtail braid off her shoulder. Thea hated dressing formally but you couldn't present yourself to the gods in sweatpants and a crop top and she knew better than to complain about it.
Aquarius took a deep breath and walked into the council room. All twelve Olympians sat in their godly forms on their huge thrones. Aquarius rolled her shoulders back and lifted her head slightly higher before making her way to the foot of Zeus' throne.
As she walked, the gods nodded to her with stern unreadable expressions. When Thea looked at Ares though, he sneered, but Aquarius returned it with a warm smile. Ares powers did make her feel reckless and angry but he didn't need to know that. It was more satisfying to see his smug expression drop at her friendliness than the idea of punching him in the face. Though punching him did sound nice.
Aquarius looked at Dionysus and gave him a real smile. He was boardly playing with grape vines. He looked up at her and rolled his eyes, but he had a small smile tugging at his lips.
Aquarius helped Dionysus' wife, Ariadne, on one of her quests and the two had become close. So naturally Dionysus and Thea became close as well. Though Dionysus tried to hide it.
Dionysus' small smile disappeared when he looked at the lord of the sky. And when Aquarius looked too, she could see why.
Zeus had a wild look in his eyes, like any moment he was about to explode. And the glare that he usually gave Aquarius was more harsh and deadly than usual. She gulped and continued to walk towards him.
Aquarius glanced at her father, Poseidon, he gave her a smile, but it looked forced and uneasy.
Aquarius finally reached the feet of Zeus and she got down on her knees and bowed her head.
"Hello, my lord."
"Do you know why you are here child?" Zeus said, not returning the greeting, his voice dripping with anger.
Aquarius sayed on the ground and kept her head down, not wanting to add to Zeus' already testy mood.
"I have my suspicions, my lord. But by the way the weather is and the uneasy looks I was receiving outside and even now, I assume it is not what I think."
"You are very observant." Zeus said, though Aquarius was not sure if he was asking or stating his words.
"So I have been told." she responded gently, which Zeus did not return, he in fact glared at her harder
"My master bolt has been stolen."
Aquarius' head snapped up. Her eyes wide.
"What?"
