The next day was amazing. Our show was fucking lightning, Frank didn't hit anyone with anything and the crowd was the best it had been all week.

We left the stage soaked in sweat, but it was so worth it. Frank was bouncing around as he ran up to Bob, planting a sloppy one on his cheek. Bob pushed him off, laughing hysterically.

Then Ray came up behind me and put his hands on my shoulders, shaking and pushing me around like crazy.

"That was fucking gold!" Ray exclaimed. "You were on fire, Gerard! Holy shit!"

I could have sworn that in the middle of House of Wolves I'd spotted some messy pigtails at the side of the crowd. My head had sped up a little after that. Man, I was in such a great mood!

I dumped the rest of my water on Frank's shoes and felt a brief stab of sadness, half-missing the smack across the head I would've gotten had the shoes been Mikey's. But Mindless Self Indulgence were on in less than one hour, so I grabbed Frank. We handed out our respective high-fives and made our way back to the bus to change clothes.

"I'm telling you Frank, she's incredible."

Frank only grinned, he knew better than anyone that I rarely got this excited about meeting new people.

"Dude, I'm really happy for you, but it's literally only been a day." He looked down at the floor. "I mean, does she even like you? Like, in that way?"

I paused. "Uhhh . . ."

He cracked up. "Oh my god Gerard, you can't marry someone without knowing if they even like you yet!"

I scowled. "Hey! I didn't say anything about marriage, just because you're married."

"Dude, c'mon." He tilted his head.

"That's not fair, Frank!" I argued.

"Let me know when you know she at least likes your sorry ass," he teased.

I groaned, changing the subject. This was fucking embarrassing. "Whatever, she's on in a while, so we have time to chill."

"Yeah, but I want to meet her first!" Frank enthused.

"You wanna meet her?" I asked, slightly confused. Well, at least this was an excuse to see her again. "Find my shoes."

With that, he hurried off to get my sneakers.

Lindsey took to Frank almost immediately, everyone always did.

Taking Back Sunday played a great set, but I barely noticed.

Soon enough, MSI was called to play.

I was practically twitching with excitement as we stood in the backstage area waiting for the show to start. Then Lyn-z picked up her bass, fuck, I still couldn't believe those dainty fingers rocked so hard.

Their set was going great, and Jimmy jumping all over the place like he was on speed. Then the bassist suddenly dropped into the most impressive back bend I'd ever seen. Her hair brushed the floor and my jaw dropped. She didn't miss a note.

Frank burst out laughing beside me, knocking my shoulder in the process. "I fuckin' told you, man!"

After the show, Lyn-z waltzed off stage just as happy and no where near as sweaty as I had been earlier. She took me completely off guard as she swiftly threw her arms around my neck, making me stumble backwards a little. But I caught her by the waist and hugged her back. Frank cracked up beside me and I tried in vain to swat him away.

Lindsey pulled back and grinned at me.

"That was fucking awesome!" I gushed.

"You think so?" She threw back with the same enthusiasm.

"YES!"

"You coming to the grill tonight, Lindsey?" Frank added.

"Fuck yeah we are!" Jimmy and Steve cheered. We all laughed together.

(AN: the grill is from the real Projekt Rev tour, they would host them every night! The relationship develops more in the next chapter btw! also, does anybody want any lemon in the future ?? just asking . . .
