Gerard's POV:
I had finished the last song with a flourish and it was the end of the show.
I practically ran off the stage as I could see Lindsey tightening her pigtails and straightening her vest. She was beautiful.
I threw my arms around her waist as she wrapped her arms around my shoulders.
"My sweetheart!" She called out, kissing my face all over.
"Love," I said inbetween gasps for air, performing really was a workout.
I didn't care to notice everybody was surrounding us now, Frank and Ray already knew what I was planning, I glanced at their child-like expressions looking over at us. "There's a girl in the first aid tent who's ordained!"
Lindsey looked up, surprised. "What?!"
I grinned and pulled her closer to me, tipping her backwards and kissing her. She laughed, breathless, and my even heart beat faster.
"Let's go get married. Right now. I love you Lindsey Ballato, more than I've ever loved anyone and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
She stood up straight and looked into my eyes, finally understanding how serious I was . . .
"Will you marry me?" I whispered.
"Yes." She whispered back.
I took her hand and ran.
(AN: don't worry! this isn't the end of the story - i've got at least 3 more chapters planned ahead after this ! )
