Tris' POV

I'm led into the ladies talk room and I instantly see Christina, Marlene and Shauna, each wearing a dress from the primary colours. Christina red, Marlene, Yellow and Shauna, Blue. Honestly, right now they all practically look the same, just different skin tones.

It turns out they found out what happened on the Chasm train really funny and we become close friends a few days later. I hurry over to them, and they all have their mouths dropped open.

"Tris, you look absolutely stunning." Christina manages to mutter, not even attempting to hide the envy in her voice. I look down, quickly sitting down, concealing myself from the rest of my room behind Marlene.

"Tris, don't hide." Marlene whispers kindly. "You look amazing, and you really deserve this." I can see Patricia and Molly watching me intently from the other side of the posh room on a red and gold sofa, occasionally whispering to each other. Myra sits meekly next to the, not speaking or really looking up. Every girl in the room is either wearing Blue, Purple, Pink or red, apart from Marlene wearing Yellow and Patricia who's actually wearing a wedding dress.

Two young men I've seen with Prince Tobias a lot walk into the room and all conversation stops.

"Ladies, please proceed to the dining hall and like usual, sit where your name is." The taller boy, both with chocolate skin, says. "Lady Beatrice, please wait behind for a few seconds." Like usual, Patricia is the first to get out of the doors and towards the dining room, shoving her way through the other girls. One girl, Lady Becky, gets knocked over by her violent ways and I rush over to help her.

"Are you okay?" I gasp, helping her to her feet, she's around the same height as me and has an unusual but pretty look about her, and she's nice to everyone, no exceptions.

"Thank you!" She exclaims, hugging me tightly before walking gracefully out of the room in the plain blue high heels I can see peeking out from under her dress as she walks. The two young men come over to me.

"Tris, we're not speaking to you as The prince's personal guards, but as his friends, don't hold what he did earlier against him, we know he regrets it. I'm Zeke, by the way." He taller one says, shaking my hand.

"And I'm Uriah." The slightly shorter one says, though they both tower over me. He places his hand dramatically to over the side of his mouth.

"And remember. We didn't talk to you." He says in a loud whisper making me laugh as he shakes his head.

They quickly lead me to the dining room, where every eye in the room, including the guards standing either side of each door and each side of the massive glass windows, follow me to my seat, and for a while after. Marcus stands up after giving me a glare.

"Well Ladies, you may have noticed we have guests at the table this evening, our royal cousins from England. Please treat them with respect. You may begin." He taps his glass lightly and everyone starts to eat. As I reach for some potatoes, the boy next to me reaches over for the serving spoon and places some on my plate.

"What's your name?" He whispers like its a secret we're talking.

"Beatrice, though I like to be called Tris." He smirks.

"Well, Lady Tris, I am Prince Eric of England, and if my dear cousin doesn't choose you for some mad reason, feel free to pop over and spend some time with me." He says, putting on a deep, sexy voice. I laugh and he joins in. I can see Tobias glaring at me out the corner of my eye, but he said not to interact so I don't even bother looking towards him.

"So Lady Tris, what do you like to do in your free time." Eric asks, placing some chicken on my plate as I reach for it.

"I love it when Prince Tobias takes me to the library, I have a small one in my bedroom here though it's just amazing to look at all the books." Eric smiles in the cutest way possible.

"And any sports, horse riding? Tennis?" Should I tell him, I haven't even told Tobias yet.

"Well, actually, I rather like Knife throwing, and I want to learn archery." Eric laughs, rubbing his hand softly up and down my shoulder blade.

"Seems like you've picked up the only Dauntless-Abnegation there is Dear cousin." He laughs to Tobias, making my face heat up. Tobias looks me straight in the eye, talking to Eric but it seems, also to me.

"Oh believe me, that's quite deliberate. And I was appreciate it if you would stop mocking her. She's getting uncomfortable." I curse at him in my head, not only am I already cross with him, but I hate it when people speak for me.

Throughout the meal, I watch as Tobias constantly tugs on his ear, the signal we agreed to make when we wanted to talk to one another.

Unsurprisingly, I don't do it back.
