I woke up in a white room, white walls, white bed... Just white. I closed my eyes against the blinding light. When I opened them again, a woman was standing over me. I sat up, then lay back down because of the pain in my head, arms and back. 'You're awake!' The woman smiled. No shit. She continued, 'We thought you'd never wake up. You were admitted last night and we got you into a bed before you went out like a light!' She chuckled. 'Admitted where?' 'You're in the Newbury ward in the hospital,' She started. She must be a nurse. I read her nametag, "Gladys". 'Why am I here?' I asked weakly. 'You don't remember?' She looked suprised. 'Obviously not!' I exclaimed half angrily. She looked taken aback. 'Well after your friend-' She saw me start to shake. '-I better call a doctor..' 'NO!' I shouted. 'Tell me.. Tell me what happened to her,' I said shakily, trying to calm down. 'Andrew, I don't think-' 'Tell me.' My voice was dangerous. 'You tried to kill yourself too. We gave you injections to sedate you when you came in, as you were very distressed. You're probably very sore today. You should go back to sleep.' I nodded slowly and closed my eyes as she left, taking it all in.
