Family Reunion

It was August now, I had to go to a family Reunion at my grandparents house, so I signed out of school and got into my best suit at home, then me and my family drove in our limo, well our personal driver drove for us.

When we got there I stuck close to Miko and Askari, and when we got inside we were instantly greeted my Grandma "Oh there are my beautiful Grandsons and Granddaughter-in-law!" She hugs both Miko and Askari first and then hugs me tightly "Oh and are these two my Great Grandsons?" She asks looking to Kojiro and Loriko.

"Ah yes, meet Kojiro and Loriko." Miko picks Kojiro up, Kojiro had a Blue onesie and Loriko had a green one.

"Ah they're so adorable!" Grandma says cooing the twins "Come on the rest of the family is upstairs!" Grandma says and even if she acted nice Miko always despised all of our family.

When we got upstairs Grandpa was serving the alcohol to all of the Grown ups, while some of my cousins were playing, Uncle Shawn was drinking some beer on the couch and Aunt Hyria was just sitting next to him silently.

I saw Uncle Janker and Aunt Mano on the couch too (Shawns brother is Janker and his sister-in-law is Mano) there kids Hita there oldest who was 13 was playing with Mastura, Mastura was moms, brothers kid, also know as Uncle Torren and Aunt Shoris kid, she was 12, they also had a kid names Bushi, who was 14.

I remember them Mentioning they had another daughter but they don't speak much of her, anyways Uncle Janker and Aunt Mano had two more kids Gorshu, who's 7, and Taki who's 8.

Then there was Uncle Kori, moms brother and his wife Aunt Calice, they had a daughter who's 5, her name is Mishi, she was playing alone.

We sit down and instantly Mishi comes running over to see the babies "Can I see! Can I hold one! Are any of them girls?!" She asks a bunch of questions to which Miko answers.

"Yes you can see, no you can't hold they're to heavy for you, and  we already told the whole family they're both boys Mishi." Miko says handing Kojiro to Askari.

"Ah isn't this nice, a family reunion with everyone here from all sides of the family." Uncle Janker says and glares at me, signing he didn't intend any of that for me.

"I heard your weddings in October, I'm so excited to see you two get married." Aunt Mano smiles "Kids come over here and see Mikos kids." She calls over the rest and they come over, When Bushi comes over he shoves me aside giving me that non welcoming glare.

Miko is quick to notice this and grabs Bushi's arm "Hey Bushi, there's no need to shove your cousin, if you keep acting out I won't let you see the twins." He says and Miko then grabs my hand and pulls me next to him.

I decided it was best to stay quiet and just listen and silently agree when they asked me my opinion on something.

"So Neito how's school going?" Aunt Calice asks me.

"Oh! F-fine.... I guess...." I say while looking at her and then look away.

"Have you met any girls yet~?" Aunt Shiro teases and I gulp.

My whole family besides my brother and Askari were homophobic, I also think Aunt Hyria was not homophobic, but I could never tell she's always so quiet "Yes....But I'm not interested in any of them....." I tell her.

"Well you'll have to find a beautiful wife someday kid, or else you'll never have your own kids." Uncle Torren tells me and Miko steps in.

"That's enough you guys, Neito can date whoever he wants, wether it's a boy or a girl!" Miko tells them.

"No, My son will not be gay, that would be an embarrassment and how the hell would he have kids?!" Dad glares at Miko for saying such a thing.

This is when Askari steps in "Gay and Lesbian couples can have kids, since of quirks, and stuff, they've created MLCs that allow men to get pregnant and Woman to have children with other Woman!"

"Yeah but it's not Natural! And it's fucked up!" Mom groans and that's when I get up.

".....I'm going to the bathroom, please excuse me." I say before leaving the room to go and calm myself down from this situation.

A few minutes later
I was walking to get back to the family room, when suddenly I felt a cold breeze come from the guest bedroom.

So out of curiosity I went and opened the door, to reveal Aunt Hyria standing there alone on the balcony of the guest bedroom. She turned to me and her eyes widened ".......I-I'm sorry I'll just go...." I said before going to leave but I heard something I thought I'd never hear.

Aunt Hyria spoke for the first time I could ever remember "No! Neito it's okay you can stay if you'd like........I'm not like the rest of the family.......well besides Miko......" she says and I stop and turn to her.

"......It's nice to know your not mute." I say and she chuckles.

I walk over to her and she goes back to admiring the outside "Yeah I guess I can't blame you if I have you that impression...... I am often quiet....." she mumbled but I hear her.

"......What did you mean when you said your not like the rest of the family? Besides Miko." I asked.

"You know.....I'm not abusive like they are.......I know I just stand there and watch, and trust me I hate that I can't do anything......but if I did try anything.......something terrible would happen....." she says, I don't understand what she meant by something terrible will happen. What terrible thing could happen?

"I guess you're right.....but I know deep down they all care for me and I'll prove that!" I said, determined to show Miko they do love me.

"........You can try Neito.......but I don't mean to burst your bubble.......but I know, you know, deep down......that.......they only want to use you as tool and nothing more........." she says and sighs.

".........I know......." I say as I feel silent tears come down my face "But that doesn't mean I can't change their minds........." I tell her and she looks at me then pulls me in for a hug.

"It's okay...........shhhhhh, it's going to be fine Neito..because no matter what there will always be someone who loves you!.....and I'm One of those many people who do." She reassures me and I hug her back.

"I'm sorry....." I apologize for being weak, stupid, and a mistake to the family.

"Hey you have nothing to be sorry for! Your amazing Neito. and they're just to stupid to realize that!" She says.

I cry into her shoulder when I heard Mikos voice "She's right you know." We both look over to see Miko leaning in the doorway.

"H-how long have you been the Miko?" I asked him.

"Since Aunt Hyria said she didn't mean to burst your bubble." He said walking towards me, and gives Aunt Hyria a hug "Say Goodbye to Aunt Hyria were leaving." He says.

"But we only just got here." I say.

"Yeah well you know how our Family Reunions go, the family is to much of an asshole for me to stay around, and eventually they'll start verbally abusing you, as your big brother I'm not having that." He says saying goodbye to Aunt Hyria, and she says goodbye to him too.

I sigh and turn to her "Goodbye Aunt Hyria, have a nice night." I say and she nods and we hug.

"Goodnight Neito." She says and then Miko, Askari, and I head out, we called an Uber and they had the Uber drive me back to my school.

Tonight was good I guess......But what was Aunt Hyria talking about? Someone loves me? Hah what a joke...........No one could love a useless, narcissistic, stupid, bully like me.............no one......................right?
