Things Change

Part 16

11 months later**

It's been 5 months since you got married to the man of your dreams. Everything was going well, though you did fall sick often but Jimin never failed taking care of you. You had visited many specialists but none of them were very sure about your health. Nonetheless you were happy that you would die with all the happy memories but thinking about leaving Jimin alone gave you a stinging pain in your heart.

"I'm going to the hospital hon! The lunch is in the refrigerator okay?" You grabbed your keys after getting a nod from Jimin. "Be careful. Call me once you reach there." He pecks your forehead.

"Good morning y/n!" Cara greeted cheerfully and you greeted her back. "Let's have some coffee." You pulled Cara to the cafeteria. After ordering your beverages you started talking to Cara. After a moment you felt your stomach churn as if you wanted to puke. You started feeling suffocated, making difficult for you to breathe. Unable to control your uneasiness you rush to the washroom where you started vomiting.

"Hey y/n, you okay? Let me call Jimin." Cara asks standing outside the bathroom. "Im fine. No need to call him." You from the other side. Coming outside, you looked at Cara's worried face and smiled at her. "I guess I'm pregnant!" You said with a smile while she started jumping like a kid, clapping her hands "I'll be an aunt soon..." her happy face dropped instantly as your health condition struck her mind. "Y/n it's not good for you to be pregnant. It's even more dangerous for your health." She said as tears started forming in her eyes.

"No Cara. This is the least I can do for Jimin. And please don't tell Jimin about my health. He won't agree for it. Promise me to never break this promise." You looked at her with a sad smile, while she nods wiping off her tears.

Coming back home, you saw Jimin sitting on the couch watching television so you thought of playing a trick before telling him the good news.

You walked over to him, now standing right in front of him with your hands crossed across your chest, looking at him blankly. "What happened?" He asks looking at your serious expression. "Are you cheating on me?" You asked him. "What nonsense are you speaking! Why would I cheat on you?" He crooked his brows wondering what made you ask this.

You sighed and tried to walk off, but he hugged you from back, his arms wrapped around your waist. "You are the only woman in my life whom I have ever loved and you will always be the one. Never doubt my love to you. I can never love anyone else other than you." He confessed his feelings which melted your heart.

You giggled before turning around to face him while he was still fighting with his own confused thoughts. "Are you sure I'm the only one you love?" You raised your brows while you placed his hand on your tummy. You laughed looking at his confused face while he widened his eyes.

"You are...I'm g-gonna be-" You chuckled lightly seeing him stuttering. "Yes we are gonna be parents. And you are gonna be the best dad." You pulled his cheeks. "Won't it affect your health? I don't want the b-" "Shh.. everything is going to be fine!" You placed your finger on his lips.

6 months later**
"Are you done hon?" You yelled from the living room. "So we will get to know whether it's a girl or a boy right?" He asked while getting down the stairs. "Omg Chim! This is the 20th time your asking the same thing. Yes!" You sighed.

You were 7 months pregnant with a healthy baby growing in you. At the same time you felt yourself getting weaker every passing moment but you tried hard not to show it. Cara would call you everyday to check your health. Your health was getting worse and you felt like nearing your death.

After reaching the scan room you waited for Cara. She applied the gel on your stomach before taking a scanning machine while Jimin stood there bitting his nails out of nervousness. "Wohoo! It's a princess!!" Cara giggled after revealing the baby's gender. You could tell from Jimin's expression that he was very excited about being a parent. You were afraid that you won't be able there to see that happiness on his face for a long time.

"Mr Park, if you don't mind can I talk to y/n personally." Cara requested Jimin and he nodded before leaving you guys. "Y/n, I'm afraid about your health. Its in his worst stage. It can be very dangerous during your delivery." She said while a lone tear slipped down her cheeks. "I know." That's the only thing you could mumble as there was nothing you could do about it.

"Off to baby store!" You said enthusiastically closing the car door and found him grinning at you.
"The pink one." You pointed to a pink baby dress telling Jimin to pick it. You wanted roam around the baby store but Jimin insisted you to sit, while he does the shopping.

"How about this purple dress?" He asks you picking out a small purple dress and you gave him a thumbs up while sipping your milkshake. You walked towards the different sections of the mall to buy clothes for your babygirl while Jimin continued shopping on his own.

You brought dresses of different age groups for your daughter making sure that you can gift it to her every year so that she doesn't miss getting gifts from her mom, even though you wouldn't be with her.

"Why are you buying so many clothes? Wait! Some of them are oversized for a baby!" Jimin takes out his card to pay the bill, eyeing you with confusion. "I have my reasons!" You winked at him while he lightly frowns but later smiles seeing you giggle.

He didn't want to lose you... he was afraid that this smile of yours will fade away one day and he will never be able to see you again. Though he didn't show you how much he feared about your health, he was suffering every moment. He would dream, of you leaving him alone in the darkness of life.

Park Jimin, who was known as the biggest Mafia of Busan, who wasn't afraid of his own death, was now afraid of even sleeping without you. You turned out to be his biggest fear. The person who never melted for anyone, now had deeply fallen in love with you. You changed his life, you became the reason of his happiness.....

But life was being very unfair towards both of you...
