Izuku Midoriya was just about to end his first year at UA. He still felt in aw that he had miraculously been accepted, especially after his poor performance in the first exams. But here he was, feeling like he could take on the world. He was ready to be a hero, and it felt nothing could get in his way now. He would soon reach the top as a pro hero! But first... he had to get through another 2 years in school...
Midoriya was walking back to the UA dorms, after having a meeting with All Might. The meeting was mostly them drinking tea... sort of... it was mostly All Might marveling over Midoriya and getting a tad bit emotional over the fact that Midoriya only had a week left before he would go on summer break for forty days, and that they likely wouldn't see much of each other during that time.
Midoriya knew this wasn't true. He could already predict the retired number one hero would show up at his house for surprise visits frequently. The man had sort of become this fatherly figure to Midoriya, who hadn't seen his real father since he was barely able to walk.
As they had finished their conversation and All Might allowed Midoriya to return to his dorm, he suddenly felt this weight of urgency. Only a week and then he'd be gone. While summer break was only a little over a month-long, Izuku knew it would feel like an eternity without his friends. He and his class had become family. Though, it was a strange family, to say the least. And he would miss them, hopefully, he could find a time for his friends to hang out.
He opened the door to the dorm building of class 1A, greeted by a flood of bright light his eyes would need to adjust to. Outside, the sun had just set, so he'd been walking in darkness.
"Deku!" a friendly female voice cried out giddily. The next thing he knew, Uraraka was tackling him in a hug, "what took you so long?"
"Oh, the uh... thing went a little longer than expected," he stammered, unable to tell her he'd been chatting with All Might. That would be too suspicious. The bubbly brown haired girl pulled away from him with a wide blushing smile, "sorry,"
"Oh Deku, you don't have to be sorry." she waved her hand dismissively, "anyways, the class decided we want to have a fun game night. Because it's almost the last week, most of us agreed to stay at the dorms for the weekend. So what do you say? Stay up all night binging movies and playing games?!"
"That sounds fun Uraraka but... shouldn't we be concerned with preparing for the final test next week. Apparently, it's a physical one so..." Midoriya's voice slowly faded.
"Midoriya you're always training!" Ashido suddenly sprung up next to Uraraka.
"Yeah, you never leave room for fun. Kero," Tsuyu added. Midoriya was now surrounded by three girls, all of which were begging him to join them for the fun game and movie night.
"Please!" they all beseeched in unison. Midoriya sighed, giving up in his attempt to avoid social activity.
"Fine," he smiled slightly.
"YAY!" Ashido squealed, practically flying off the floor.
"Aw thanks, Deku!" Uraraka hugged him one last time.
"N-no problem, I guess?" he tensed, smiling awkwardly down at the girl who didn't seem to know how to let go of him.
"We were just about to start a game of truth or dare!" Uraraka bubbled, tugging Midoriya enthusiastically over to the center of the lobby living room. A pile of students was circled up on the couches and floor, with the coffee tabled moved out of the way. In the center of the strange misshapen oval was a plastic water bottle, half-filled with water.
