"Ok it shouldn't take me long, I just have to put all this stuff in the fridge,"  Midoriya said, whilst opening the fridge door. They'd already made it back to Midoriya's apartment, and Midoriya was stuffing the food into the fridge and pantry.  Todoroki just stood in Midoriyas living room, looking around curiously. He just hummed in response to Midoriya.

The door nob of the apartment entryway rattled for a few seconds, then the door creaked open. "Izuku honey are you home yet?"  Inko's voice sounded from behind the door as the bubbly green-haired woman stepped into the room, "oh- you have a friend?"

"Oh yeah, mom. T-todoroki and I ran into each other today, I hope you don't mind if we hang out?"  Midoriya shut the door, looking at his mom with hesitant eyes.

"Oh, I don't mind at all!  I've hardly met any of your UA friends,"  Inko replied, approaching Todoroki with a warm smile, "I'm Izuku's mom," she greeted.

"Nice to meet you,"  Todoroki replied in his usually low voice.  He looked back at Midoriya who was stepping out of the kitchen.

"Sorry I didn't give you a heads up mom,"  Midoriya wavered his hands in front of him.

"It's fine sweety,"  Inko assured, "so are you, boys, going to be staying here or...?"

"Oh we'll probably head back out,"  Midoriya stated, not wanting to bring up Endeavor, and that fact that Todoroki wasn't supposed to be here in the first place.

"Oh, well have fun you two. And no running off with girls!"  Inko huffed dramatically.  Midoriya's cheeks flushed in a shade of pink.

"M-mom!" he ran his fingers through his hair,  "We're not gonna-"

"I'm not attracted to girls,"  Todoroki interrupted with a simple attitude.  Midoriya felt like someone had knocked the wind out of him.  What did Todoroki just say?  He couldn't have possibly meant it like that, just a slip of words, right?

"Oh, you're gay?"  Inko looked taken aback, but not at all angry.  Midoriya was internally panicking.

"He-"  Midoriya didn't know what he was even going to say.

"Yes," Todoroki interrupted once again.

"W-what-"  Midoriya said to himself, still trying to process what was going on.

"Oh!"  Inko smiled,  "Well that's perfectly fine, just don't you two get into trouble!  Have fun!"

"I..."  Midoriya still was internally broken, his mind like TV static.

"Thank you,"  Todoroki bowed his head towards her and headed for the door.

"Wait what...?"  no one even heard Midoriya. Inko started to take off her shoes at the front door as Todoroki opened it.  The red and white-haired boy looked back at Midoriya, who still stood nearest the kitchen.

"You coming?"  Todoroki asked, with his usual face of melancholy.

"I-I- yeah," Midoriya nodded and headed out the door with Todoroki.  Todoroki didn't say a word as they left down the halls of the apartments, down the elevator, and out the front.  In fact, neither of them knew what to say till they'd reached the small parking lot.

"Sorry about that,"  Todoroki suddenly said.  Midoriya glanced up at the taller boy and saw his face was flustered as if embarrassed.

"W-why haven't you said anything about that before?"  Midoriya asked hesitantly.

"Why would I?  No one needs to know..."  Todoroki had his eyes dead on the sidewalk in front of him.

"You just said it to my mom..."  Midoriya was still stunned.
