"Where are you taking me?"  Todoroki asked, with Midoriya tugging him along by his sore wrist.  His cuts had already opened back up but the thrill of the events that had cured that night flooded his senses, overwhelming the feeling of pain.

"To my house,"  Midoriya answered as if it was so obvious.  Todoroki began to recognize the path they were taking from the week before when he had been escaping his dad.

"Why?"  Todoroki asked obliviously.

"Because... you look cold,"  Midoriya said with flushed cheeks, not even able to look back at Todoroki because he knew he'd break down into tears if he did.   He still couldn't wrap his head around the thought that Todoroki would try and let himself die like that, especially by his own hand, "Ok that sounded stupid,"  he stammered, "Especially with your quirk and all," he chuckled nervously.

"So...?"

"I guess I want to make sure you don't do anything stupid,"  Midoriya admitted, "and I want to look after you,"

"But-"

"No I wont let you go back home, especially if you'll be alone with your dad.  I wont let it happen!" Midoriya blurted, "You don't deserve this!"

"Midoriya I can't just..." he drifted.

"Leave?  It's just for a night, he doesn't have to know where you are."  Midoriya interrupted, "Do you really want to go back there?  I just don't want you... hurting yourself,"  oh great the tears we welling back up in his eyes.

"I'm sorry,"

"You don't need to keep saying that you know," Midoriya looked back Todoroki, his eyes obscured from the saltwater,  "It's ok, you're gonna be ok now, right?"

Todoroki couldn't answer that, he just couldn't bring up the words. Instead he changed the trail of conversation, as Midoriya's apartment came into view, "Did you mean what you said earlier?"

"What do you mean?"  Midoriya asked as she slowed his pace.

"Well... you said you loved me..."  Todoroki just let himself be pulled along by Midoriya like a puppy on a leash.

"Of course I meant it, why wouldn't I?" Midoriya wiped his tears.

"Just because..."

"If you bring up Uraraka again-"

"No no not her! Just,"  Todoroki paced himself next to Midoriya, "Why?"

"What do you mean why?"  Midoriya wondered.

"I don't know,"  he looked down at the sidewalk.

"I like the way your so focused,"  Midoriya stated, "And how you are so motivated, and save people selflessly," he continued. Todoroki found he was lost for words, "And your smile,"  his cheeks heated up once again, "you have a beautiful smile, and laugh."

"Midoriya..."

"And your eyes,"  Midoriya mustered the courage to make eye contact with him, "I just... really like you!"

"Th-thank you,"  Todoroki had to look away from Midoriya's deep pools of green that were his eyes, so captivating and intriguing. He didn't want to stare.

"I feel so stupid,"  Midoriya admitted, "foolish really.  I don't know how or why it took me so long to realize how... amazing you are,"

"I feel the same,"  Todoroki said mutually.

"So... what now then?"  Midoriya asked as they approached his apartment.

"I don't know,"  Todoroki kept looking at his shoes, "Will... will you be my boyfriend?" The stopped outside the apartment building doors, standing out in the parking lot.
