Percy woke up with a knife at his throat. His hands were chained behind his back, and he felt like a magical force was pulling him back. He tried to move. He was unsuccessful.

Whoever was looking down at him was a teen. He looked really familiar, but Percy couldn't think of what his name was.

"Percy Jackson," the boy said," my first victim of the 7."

"Why are you doing this?"

"Why? Ha! You went against my master, Jackson. The great Gaea would have prospered, but you and your little buddies got lucky."

"Lucky?! Are you kidding me?!! I went though Tartarus! I did so much to beat Gaea! That wasn't luck, kid, that was pure skill!"

"You've always been vein, Jackson. A horrible flaw. If you hadn't had had your girlfriend, who is next on my kill list, you would have died."

Oh gods. This kid was going to hurt Annabeth.

"DO NOT TOUCH MY GIRLFRIEND!!!" Percy tried to break his magic restraints, but with no luck.

The boy laughed.

"Bye, Percy!"

The last thing Percy saw before he blacked out was a knife coming for his throat.
