Hades's dungeons were not a happy place.
Not that Annabeth had expected them to be happy, but still.
Annabeth clung onto Percy, mind racing. Now how where they going to be able to get the coin? Annabeth looked around, she could tell the others were trying think, too, but nobody had hit a 'Eureka!' moment yet.
Literally, this is one of the worst things that could have happened. There was no way they could break through the Stygian Iron reinforced doors, which were also loaded with a crazy ridiculous lock system.
And to make matters even worse, a really annoying fly was buzzing around, getting on everybody's nerves.
But it got Annabeth thinking.
There are exactly two ways the fly could have gotten in:
A) It quickly flew in when the door to the cell had been opened to put them inside, or
B) There is a small crack between the floor and the bottom of the door, or the ceiling and the top of the door, in which it flew through.
Annabeth could only hope to the gods that it was option B.

"Annabeth, it's a pretty risky idea," Hazel was saying. "Even if Frank could make it through the crack, he'd have to turn back into a human in order to get the coin."Leo nodded. "He'd be seen."
Annabeth sighed. "Well why don't you all tell me your ideas."
A sleeping jellyfish would have made more notice than the silence that followed.
Frank looked up from his thought, a nervous expression written on his face. "It's our only choice."
A second later, Frank was an incredibly small house fly, making his way back through the unbelievably minuscule crack between the door and the ceiling.
***********
It was taking a very long time for Frank to come back, and Annabeth started to wonder if this was a bad idea. If she got Frank hurt, or worse, killed, she would never be able to get over it.
Hazel was looking extremely worried, and Annabeth imagined how she would feel if it was Percy out there, a helpless little fruit fly, going to take on the God of the dead.
And that's when the door began the slowly unlock.
