Darryl's POV
We both continued eating cookies, filling ourselves with sugar and milk. At one point, Zak had went to the bathroom from a tummy ache, and it took a while for him to come back, but he seemed cheerful. Either way, I asked what was wrong and he said that he was okay. I accepted it and went to get bags to store extra cookies in, filling them to the brim. There ended up being two sandwich bags full, and I tossed them onto the counter. I cleaned up the kitchen, which wasn't too messy to begin with, but it was a slight distraction. Zak fell asleep on the couch, and looked as if he was shivering. I brought a blanket onto him, trying to keep him warm. I went on and left to my room. I grabbed the tips of my blanket, slipping under it. It was a little lonely without Zak.
I looked up at the ceiling, thinking of lots of possibilities for what could happen.
