Ygritte's POV

We watched in awe as battalion of soldiers marched through the gates of the IronHold's Keep. Their horses gallopped unanimously as the faes riding it kept their steely gaze.

The trainees are swarming through the entrance gate as my comrades and I pushed in between to watch the arrival of His Excellency, Lord Thalys of the Seelie Court. My brother told me he's a very mysterious man who likes to show his dominance by intimidating the people around him.

"They're faes and they have wings, why would they need a horse?" Morphy whispered in my ear.

I shrugged mindlessly, it's not like I'd know the answer to it anyway. Orville on the other hand as the knowledgeable man in the group, answered.

"Fae wings are sacred. It is their most prized possession, for them to have one is of great privilege from nature itself. Broken wings or the inborn ones are believed to be cursed and thus, they tend to not show it in the outside world. They tuck it under their clothes for protection but it could only be triggered once they're experiencing high amounts of energy."

"What odd creatures." Morphy mumbled quietly.

Indeed they are, I remember Kaspar's wings are large pointy ones with a hint of orange at the tip. Their wings resembles like that of a leaf. Just by then, a loud beating of the drum followed by series of trumpets roared across the keep. He has arrived.

The carriage came in and the soldiers stood there dumbfounded, watching how glamorous a ride could be. Gold edges shone beneath the shimmering heat of the sun as the flowers bloomed giving color to every side of the ride. The carriage is painted in white hue with vines etched through every corner. The blasting atmosphere of nature and danger raked across the place. The air was thick with it, indicating a high authoritative fae is about to grace us with his presence.

"Goddess, he has such great intense power." Morphy whispered with her eyes trained to the closed carriage that passed by.

I nod mindlessly and frowned. I just thought that something is just off like something's likely gonna happen. My stomach churned uncomfortably making me feel uneasy.

The need to see Lycurgus is making me restless. I sighed as I went inside the keep and back to the room as soon as the fae soldiers halted.
