Chapter 9

Today was the day of the students projects presentation. Shiemi avoided the ravenette for the rest of the week after what happened at the party. And to her surprise, Karin stopped sending her death threats, stopped annoying her during classes and cheerleading practice.

What she thought was her guardian angel's work, was actually Uchiha Sasuke's.

The boy felt the urge to help her after what she told him and did what he thought he would never do for a girl.

Today being Friday, the brunette just had to avoid him for the first three periods, until their shared science class where they would present their project, and ignore him again until the end of the day.

Easy peasy right?

After the end of her third period, Shiemi nonchalantly walked toward her next and last class of the morning. Arrived in the classroom, she found the onyx eyed boy already on his seat, looking out at the window with a bored expression. 

She approached him quietly and eyed their common project on his desk with a small grin.

She was pretty proud of it to say the least. Thanks to Sasuke, they finished it in time for the presentation day.

It was only about 5 minutes after she seated next to him that the Uchiha noticed her presence, and her smile at the view of their finished projects.

After what happened at Naruto's party the moment she left him, he couldn't help but wonder more and more about the Mikazuki girl.

She had an entrancing effect on him, something the onyx eyed boy would have never thought. He was finding himself wanting to know more and more about her, wanting to see her everyday, wanting to see her smile and hear her cute laugh.

What was happening to the Uchiha brat?

He fought the small smile that wanted to takes place on his lips and turned his body toward his science partner.

"Hey." Was all he managed to say.

He probably cursed himself under his breath, but just the soft sound of her voice saying "hey" back, managed to put him in a good mood.

The handsome Uchiha sighed in relief. The poor boy could only think that she finally hated him after all these events. I mean, if Karin wasn't so obsessed with him, Shiemi wouldn't have endured all that.

His thoughts about the brown haired girl were cut short when she cleared her throat and fidgeted with her fingers nervously.

Cute.

Wait. Sasuke surprised himself with that thought. She really was changing him.

"So...about the project.." the brunette started.

Her partner curtly nodded and took two index cards from his backpack before handing one to Shiemi.

"I wrote down everything we need to say for the presentation here." he simply said without detaching his eyes from her face.

She nodded softly and grinned. "Thank you Uchiha."

He averted his eyes from hers and crossed his arms on his torso.

"Shiemi. I took care of everything so you won't have to keep ignoring me anymore you know."

At this, the blue eyes girl felt her cheeks burn. She was sure that her face was red by now.

"Uchiha..you really did that..for me?" she asked not even sure herself. 

He eyed her from the corner of his onyx eyes and nodded. Shiemi couldn't really describe what she felt at that moment, but she knew for sure that this warmed her heart.
