The weekend that followed the small party at Konan's wasn't eventful, having Shiemi staying at home to enjoy some family time with her parents.
The next day was Monday, probably the most hated day of the week. As Shiemi was about to leave to meet up with Neji and Hinata, her mother stopped her at the door with a curious look on her face.
"Darling, are you sure that you don't want to grow your hair longer? It suited you so well!"
The brunette sighed softly and shook her head. Ever since that incident with Karin, Shiemi kept her hair in a bobbed hairstyle.
"100% sure Mom. I really like having short hair. Well now I need to go. Don't want to make the Hyūgas displeased because i'm late. See you tonight Mom and Dad!"
And with that, she walked away toward her two friends. She quickly spotted them and swung her arms on their shoulders.
"Wassup friends!" she greeted with a big grin.
Her action flustered a little Hinata but she nonetheless replied softly, Neji following her.
The trio walked to school while discussing about their future life project.
"What about you Shiemi?" asked Hinata.
The Mikazuki put her finger on her chin and seemed to be pondering about it. She sighed and shrugged with a small smile.
"I honestly still have no idea. I might just as well take over my family's law firm." she joked.
"That would be so fucking cool babe." a familiar voice replied.
"Yeah. Shiemi as a lawyer sounds hot, hm." another added.
In front of the trio, were the Akatsuki, a smile on each of their faces. Shiemi chuckled lightly and went to hug every one of them.
"Hi guys. How have you been?" Shiemi greeted.
They all replied positively earning a grin on the brunette's face. Neji excused himself and went toward his first class not without patting Hinata's and Shiemi's head.
A softie.
After a few minutes of talking together, Hinata and Shiemi left the third years to head toward the lockers.
"Shiemi I've been wanting to ask, what are you going to do during the two-week holidays?" Hinata asked.
The students had a two-week break at the end of the week and Shiemi didn't put much thought about it, as she would probably spent it at home.
The blue eyed girl bit her lips and grabbed the notebooks she needed. "I have no clue. Guess i'll be chilling at home, unless I get to see my cousin from Kiri.
She then frowned slightly. before mumbling softly. "But I guess that won't happen."
It's been a while since she last saw him and his family. Family drama as she calls it. Everyone hated talking about it.
After getting her things and closing her locker, Shiemi turned her body toward Hinata.
Before she knew it, she was shoved against it again, a fuming ravenette looking down at her.
She winced slightly and frowned. "What the fuck Uchiha?"
"Why the hell did you kiss itachi?!"
"What, aren't I allowed? Him and I are single what's the problem?" the brunette replied nonchalantly.
"It's just not right! It's Itachi!" he growled.
"And what about it? I kissed you too, but there wasn't any meaning to it as you said, right?"
Ouch. The Uchiha could feel his heart clench at her words, that were his a few weeks ago.
He slightly softened his grip on her and looked down at their feet.
"I-"
"Yeah right. Don't bother me for meaningless comments about my private life, Uchiha." she glared before pushing him off her and walking toward her class with Hinata beside her.
Sasuke cursed under his breathe.
I fucked up really bad, he thought.
"You should try to apologize more effectively, foolish little brother." his older version said while passing by.
"I might just really ask her on a date, hm." Deidara added.
Sasuke turned his head toward the two third-year and smirked. "Don't you dare, Deidara. She will be mine officially before you guys know it."
The rest of the day wasn't hectic and Shiemi was now walking out of school with the squad, keeping a distance between her and the ravenette.
"Shiemi we need to ask you something!" Ino announced.
The brunette arched a brow and looked at her with curious eyes. "What is it?"
"First let's go grab something to eat I'm starving." Tenten suggested.
They all replied positively.
"Alright let's go to our usual spot then!" Naruto said.
Their usual spot. Naruto's favorite spot to be precise. A ramen shop. "The best in town 'ttebayo!" as the Uzumaki keeps repeating.
So here they were, at Ichiraku Ramen, munching on their ramen bowls. Naruto was probably on his 4th bowl and was more than happy about the fact that it was Sasuke who was paying for the group.
"Slow down on those bowls idiot." the ravenette would remind him.
"So Shiemi! Hinata told us that you weren't planning anything during the holidays, right?" Sakura started.
The brunette nodded while munching on her ramen.
"Well then would you like to come to my uncle's ski resort? We go there every year!" Ino asked.
Ski resort? It's been a while since we went there with mom and dad.
Shiemi sipped the rest of her bowl and let out a content sigh. "Mhm. Could be cool. Let me ask my parents and I'll let you know."
"I hope that they will be okay with it. It would be a drag without you." Shikamaru added.
The blue eyed girl smiled softly. "Don't worry, my parents are pretty cool about stuff like that. And since we won't go to Kiri, I don't see why they would be against it!"
"No."
"What do you mean no?!"
Her mother sighed and looked up from the papers she was reading. "I can't let you go by yourself like that. I don't even know your friends' parents!"
Shiemi frowned and took a sit in front of her. "Mom. You already met The Hyūga and the Uzumaki. You saw how nice they were right? Even Kushina said she considered me as a part of her family!"
"What about Ino's family?"
"They are just as nice as the others! Besides, Dad and you don't even let me see my own cousin, so why should I stay at home with nothing to do for two weeks?"
Her mother rubbed her temples before sighing for the umpteenth time. "Alright alright. I agree then. I know you can take care of yourself, you're grown enough."
Shiemi grinned widely and hugged her mother. "Thank you Mom I looove you!"
"Yeah yeah love you too darling, now let me finish reading these alright?"
"You got it chief!" she cheered happily.
