The bell rang meaning the end of the second period of the morning. Shiemi and Hinata were walking casually toward the gymnasium, meeting Tenten, Ino and Sakura on the way there.

"Shiemi are you sure that you can do P.E class again?" Hinata asked.

The Hyūga and the rest of the girls were concerned for the brunette. It has only been three weeks after her fall but she was already back in school.

The blue eyed girl nodded with her usual smile. "Of course! I'm perfectly fine don't cha worry!"

"Hm. If you say so." Tenten replied.

"But be careful!" Sakura added.

"Yeah yeah mommy!"

They chuckled and entered the girls locker.

Today in P.E class, it would be table tennis.

The whole class was in the gymnasium listening to whatever Guy sensei and Rin sensei were saying about the sport.

The onyx eyes of the Uchiha were fixed on the side profile of a certain brunette, who didn't seem to mind his gaze.

As the brown haired girl was chatting with her friends, Sasuke didn't even lend an ear to his friends, who knew that something was going on between the two.

"Alright class. Choose a teammate, we will play 2vs2 for today." Guy sensei declared.

Before Shiemi knew it, Tenten was beside Neji, just like Ino was with Saï. Sakura somehow found herself with Kiba.

An amused sigh escaped Shiemi's lips.

"Well then. Hinata, wanna team up with me?" Shiemi asked as she turned her body to face the Hyūga.

"Of course!" she replied with a grin.

After a bit of time, every two-man teams were written on the white board, each team facing another one.

Hinata and Shiemi faced two girls for their first match.

The match went well, having Shiemi and Hinata winning it.

It was a surprise for Shiemi when she saw how incredible Hinata was.

Deadly skills yup.

For their fifth match, Naruto and Sasuke were their opponents. Unsurprisingly, the two girls blushed.

"N-Naruto-kun..." Hinata stuttered.

"Hey sunshine boy!" Shiemi greeted with a grin.

"Hey Hinata! And Shiemi! I'm so glad you're back! Is your ankle better?"

The brunette nodded her head yes.

"Yup! And now I'm more than ready to beat you."

"Heh you wish! Say Hinata, are you good at table tennis?"

The Hyūga and the Uzumaki started a small conversation with a not-so-shy Hinata. Sure her blush was so ever present, but she wasn't mumbling her answers or fainting.

How cute.

The blue eyed girl slowly drifted her gaze from her two friends toward the tall and handsome ravenette.

With a hand in his pocket and the other one gripping the table-tennis bat, his onyx eyes stared at the brunette's figure.

When her blue orbs met his dark ones, they both remembered the kiss they shared weeks ago.

"Shiemi." Sasuke greeted.

"Hey, Uchiha." she replied with a small smile.

The ghost of a smirk appeared on his lips and he walked closer to the brunette.

"Shiemi. You know about the-"

He couldn't finish his sentence, having Guy sensei announcing the end of today's P.E class.

"Too bad Uchiha. Hey Naruto, I'll beat you next time alright? See you guys later for lunch!"

And with that, Shiemi tugged on Hinata's arm to run with her toward the lockers to get changed.

For lunch, the whole squad was together. Sasuke was happy inside. He got to sit next to Shiemi.

Shiemi who was between Sasuke and Kiba was arguing with Naruto (who's in front of her, a flustered Hinata beside him) about who was the strongest pillar in Demon Slayer.

"I'm telling you! Giyuu is the strongest pillar!" repeated Shiemi.

Naruto slammed his hand on the table. "No way! It's definitely Gyomei!"

Shiemi sighed and crossed her arms on her chest, a frown on her face.

Her actions seemed so cute for the ravenette. He watched her argue with his best friend, a small smile on his face.

"Giyuu created a freaking eleventh breathe of water technique!"

"But Gyomei is blind and can fight like no one else!" Naruto countered.

Shiemi pouted, but suddenly smirked.

"..Giyuu is hot. Like really hot. He could definitely get it." she continued, pleased by the faces Naruto, Kiba and Sasuke were making.

This small comment made the Uchiha choke on his water.

The blue eyed girl chuckled softly and smiled innocently.

"What? Aren't I right Hinata?"

The poor hyūga simply blushed and mumbled a few words.

"Well too bad for you he's a 2D boy." said Sasuke nonchalantly.

Shiemi shrugged and rested her head against Sasuke's shoulder, earning a curious look from her friends.

"What the hell happened between you two?" Naruto asked.

Shiemi looked over at the blonde boy and cocked an eyebrow.

"Huh? nothing why-"

"We kissed." Sasuke said blandly.

This time it was Shiemi's turn to choke on her spit.

"YOU GUYS DID WHAT?" Kiba and Naruto screamed.

A silence was installed on the table after Sasuke's revelations.

The nervous laugh of Shiemi broke it. All eyes were on the two students.

"Kissed. But it meant nothing. So don't get any ideas." Sasuke quickly stated.

The ravenette didn't even glanced at Shiemi and continued his lunch without any comment.

A strange feeling builded up inside Shiemi's heart. Why was it hurting?

She pursed her lips and did a small (and fake) smile.

"Yeah like he said. It was...nothing."

"..If you say so?" Tenten replied, unsure herself.

The squad had frowns on their faces after Shiemi's and Sasuke's comments.

The bell rang again meaning the end of the lunch period.

It was now nighttime but Sasuke couldn't fall into Morpheus' arms yet. His mind was clouded with his words and Shiemi's thoughts.

Why did he say that their kiss meant nothing so casually? Even if the two of them still didn't talk about, he knows, or maybe he hopes that she shared the same feeling.

After all they shared two kisses.

Then why? What was he afraid of?

Afraid of her reaction? His friends' reaction?

Or maybe...the Uchiha is afraid to reveal his heart?

Shit. I'm overthinking.

The onyx eyed boy groaned and turned around on his bed before slowly drifting to sleep.
