"Oh no" Kathy gasped when she arrived in front of ollivander's, only to see it in rubbles, Charlotte had asked her to get a new wand for her as she broke hers in the argument with Draco.

But, it was on pieces and Mr.Ollivander was no where to be seen in this horrific sight.

There was a few tussling and she caught sight of a girl cleaning up the mess, picking up pieces of broken wood and throwing them into a fireplace so they could be burnt to create a light for the place.

"Do you need help?" Kathy offered gently, and the girl flinched at the sudden speech before her worried eyes met Kathy's figured, stood holding on to the burnt archway as her body stood at an awkward angle due to the Wood and bricks all over the floor.

"They took him, and that means I have to look after the place until he returns" The girl mumbled out to Kathy, turning back to her work in front of her, throwing another burnt log onto the fire.

"I can help" Kathy offered, leaning done next to the girl and picking two logs, chucking them to the side, causing the girl to peer at her as she analysed her.

"I recognise you, you went to Hogwarts" The girl hummed, "you were sorted into Hufflepuff as I was on my last years"

"So, you're a couple years older? Know anyone I might know of?" Kathy asked, picking up another log and throwing it to the side. "Maybe a quidditch team members? My brothers obsessed with them"

"Charlie Weasley was Quidditch captain of Gryffindor, I was in his year" The girl offered, "never spoke to him though, I was more of the shy and study type.....should've made friends, cause now I'm stuck cleaning my great uncle's shop with a stranger"

There was a laugh that she let out that seemed to be ironically painful, and Kathy softened her eyes at the girl. "What's your name?"

"Jess, Jess Ollivander. And I was a hufflepuff, if you're wandering" The girl continued, standing up and groaning at her hands that were covered in black smoke. "I'm going to go summon some cleaning equipment, I want the cleaning to take up some time so I don't have to face the truth"

"Truth?" Kathy pondered as she stood up too, watching the girl summon a bucket and a few cleaning brushes and soaps.

"He won't be coming back for a while, and I have no where to stay in the meantime" Jess went on, grabbing a brush and dipping it into the bucket before she began to sweep up the floor gently, making it look a lot more better.

"I may know of a place, my spare room is currently taken but I know a place where they can let you stay" Kathy offered, and the girl looked up sharply again, as if trying to figure her out. "I promise, it's just a few family friends and they'll stay out of your way. There's...Melanie Avachii, Sirius Black, Rosie Deaver—but she's at school—then Remus Lupin and Tonks pop around a few times"

"Tonks?" Jess quizzed, her attention peaking as she heard a familiar name.

"Yes, we're you friends?"

"No" Jess shook her head at the younger witch, going back to her cleaning. "Just knew the name, she was in my house and all. Like I said, didn't make any friends"

Kathy just nodded in agreement, "you remind me of Rosie, she was secluded throughout most of school"

"Rosie Deaver, poor girl that one." Jess hummed along. "I'll take you up on your offer for now, but only until I get back on my feet, I'm not completely sure what else I'd do since most places are shut now"

"Brilliant! I'll take you there after we finish this" Kathy smiled at the girl, who sheepishly returned it.

When the two girls apparated to the house, someone immediately ran into the room with their wand held high, causing Jess to stand in front of Kathy and hold her wand up in return.

"It's just me!" Kathy shouted, stepping out and placing her hand on Jess's arm, as the person opposite gestured to the girl next to Kathy. "Sirius, meet Jess Ollivander, she needs somewhere to stay"

Sirius lowered his wand as his eyes glazed over as though he was remembering something, "Ollivander was taken" it was a simple statement, that Jess sadly nodded to.

"She's Ollivander's great niece and since the shop has been burnt...so's the place above it" Kathy cringed as she told the truth, Jess flinching beside her.

"She can stay here" another voice cut in, and they turned to see Melanie stood there with a soft smile. "There's always help here to those who need it"

Jess returned the smile shyly before she recognised where this place must be, "aren't you in the order?"

"Ah, she knows her stuff" Melanie smirked, walking forward and taking Sirius's hand gently as she looked over the two girls.

"Of course, my uncle has always kept up on where his wands are going, plus he's quite noisy" Jess let out a soft grin at a memory before she returned awkwardly to current times. "I'm going to be mending the shop"

"I'm going to be helping whenever I can" Kathy added, before she glanced around and noticed the time on a clock. "I've got to go though, I have someone currently staying at my house....Jess, don't be afraid to ask for any help and I'll come check in tomorrow"

Jess just nodded along, before Kathy sent the two adults a warning look before she apparated home to a waiting Charlotte.
