"Cho broke up with me" Cedric blurted out as the four of them were sat down for breakfast.
"Hmm, who would've guessed?" Charlotte stated, pretending to be clueless even though Kathy had already told her what she witnessed on the evening of the Yule ball.
"You're right Char, who would've guessed? Why would she break up with Cedric?" Kathy asked out loud as she spread butter on her toast, "maybe it was because she was only into him for fame...or maybe it was because Penelope was secretly his main priority...or maybe it was because Penelope and Cedric were sucking each other's faces off on the night of the Yule ball....but, who knows??"
And with that she took a bite of her toast as the other three looked like they were in shock, two have been caught whilst the other didn't think she'd come out and say it.
"And I thought friends didn't keep secrets" Kathy slightly flared at the duo.
"Well, you didn't tell us about how you have a crush on Fred!" Penny snapped back and Kathy blushed.
"I didn't make out with him though!" Kathy argues back, placing her toast down with a small thud.
The two met in an eye-lock as they glared at each other.
"You like Fred Weasley?" Cedric snorted, before he started to chuckle, which caused Charlotte to start giggling.
"I mean I guess so....he's kinda cute" Kathy half-explained, "I mean he's a brat sometimes, but...he's nice once you get past all those pranks"
The four joined in laughter as they let the precious argument fly past them.
"You can't judge me though! You lip-locked with Penelope" Kathy pointed out to Cedric, who instantly shut up.
Charlotte let out a nervous laugh.
"Charlotte, why're you being so quiet?" Penny asked the girl slowly.
"Because she doesn't have experience in dating?" Cedric asked in a 'duh' tone.
"Nope, I think our little miss innocent has her eye in someone" Penny stated simply before popping some bacon in her mouth.
"Yeah right" Kathy chuckled, "Charlotte wouldn't do anything like that without tell us first"
"Yep!" Charlotte agreed with Kathy easily, and the subject soon changed.

Not knowing anything about the third task, Kathy made it her top priority to knit something for warmth and read plenty for spells.
Which brings her to the library, even this late, hr brother had left around an hour ago as he finished his homework and left, not before giving his sister a kiss on the head and wishing her a good night.
She was subconsciously knitting as she was glancing through the books in a quick pace, she was extremely nervous about everyone, including her newly gained friend Rosie.
Even if they've only technically talked once, Kathy did feel as though they would be best friends in the near further.
She just needed Rosie to live that long.
"Wow" someone snorted behind her, "you look like a right old grandma"
Kathy's heart fluttered at the familiar voice, but she chose to focus instead.
"Is all of that for the final task?" Fred asked and he perched down to see what she was doing.
"Yes" she stated before she let out a barely subtle yawn.
"It's in a well, you know" He gently said, "you should get some rest"
"No" she stubbornly refused, "I need to do some—" yawn "—more research"
Fred let out an amused grin before he grabbed the knitting needles from her and slid the wool down so it wouldn't come off the ends, he then grabbed the whole thing and placed it into her bag, noticing how she didn't fight him on it.
He then gathered her notebooks up and shoved them inside before taking the books she had borrowed from the library and putting them away.
What he actually did was throw them onto a random bookshelf and shrugged to himself.
He walked back over to see her asleep on the desk, he smiled at the sight before picking up her bag and placing it on his shoulder.
Smoothly, Fred picked Kathy up into his arms and began to walk out of the library.
He thought it was rather cute on how she leaned into his body as he securely held her.
