: F I R S T-L E T T E R :

It didn't come as surprise when Kathy and Fred walked out of the kitchen as a couple, as everyone awake had already been listening in with curiosity.

Sirius had handed George a few galleons with a small groan when they exited hand in hand, which made Kathy blush and Fred to exclaim about how he's been betrayed.

Soon after, it was late and the twins had to go home, along with Kathy.

Which caused a very lossy goodbye before they all aparated to their different homes, Kathy letting out a sigh once she reached her darkly lit home, showing that her mother was still at work and so she was alone.

Kathy slowly made her way up to her room, her hand trailing lightly on the banister as she did so, before she opened up her bedroom door and screamed when she saw a figure stood by her window, before they walked forward with tearful eyes.

"I need your help" Their voice broke, and Kathy's turned on her light quickly to take in Charlotte's appearance, she was damp from standing in the rain and her eyes were a deep shade of red, her cheeks puffy which showed that she had been crying.

"Charlotte? What's wrong?" Kathy began softly, walking over to the shivering girl, before she waved her wand silently to dry the clothes she was wearing. Charlotte thanked her quietly as she seemed to stop shivering.

Kathy pushed her over to sit down on her bed, before she wrapped a knitted blanket around the girl, kneeling in front of her so she could hold her hands in support.

"What's happened?"

"It's Draco" Charlotte cried out slightly, Kathy didn't seemed too shocked as she had her suspicions, but a worried nerve hit as Charlotte cried out for the younger boy. "He says we can't be together anymore, because—b-ecause..."

"He's been chosen" Kathy finished for Charlotte, who instantly let out a huge cry before her tears started again like water works, causing Kathy to jump forward and pull her into a hug, gently stroking her hair as she rocked her slightly. "Rosie wrote me something to open for now"

Kathy shot over to the Hogwarts trunk under her bed and dragged it out, carefully moving all her knitting equipment and picking up the top letter with that days date on it.

She stood up and sat next to Charlotte as she opened it, their eyes glancing upon the paper.

Draco Malfoy had been chosen as a death eater to help the Malfoy line and to prove their worthy, since Luscious had been sent to Azkaban and he had failed his task, which means Draco now has to do his own. I will be providing support for him to get him back to Charlotte, and I will also arrange a meeting between the pair before he completes his task. I wish you good luck Charlotte, I will be in touch'

"It's addressed to you" Kathy realised, "she knew you'd be here"

"What is she? Some kind of seer?" Charlotte questioned with a slight sniffle, and Kathy looked over to the girl with a solemn look.

"It doesn't go anywhere outside this room..." Kathy warned, before she went straight into everything she knew.
