Elemental Master of Water? What the hell was Kyle talking about now? I realized he'd been acting strange, but now this was turning into insanity. I was beginning to question his mental health.

'What are you talking about?' I said, still standing on the water.

'Look you won't understand, just...meet me after school at my house,' said Kyle.

'But I've got swimming prac...' I began.

'To hell with swimming practice, if you really are the Elemental Master of Water then you should be perfect at swimming. Just come after school unless you wanna risk walking across the school pool,' he replied.

I was speechless. I had absolutely no idea what he was saying but he seemed so sure of himself that it would probably be best to hear what he had to say to me. Plus walking across the school pool could land me in detention and I had a reputation to uphold.

'Fine, I'll meet you at your house, but if the team drops me it's on you,' I said.

'Good man,' Kyle said as he turned around ready to leave.

Just before he left, he was able to sneak in another sly comment.
'They can't drop you. It would be suicidal to their hopes of winning the championship. Seeing as you're the Master of Water, your probably the fastest swimmer in the country.'

Without anything else, Kyle opened the door and left me all alone in the toilet floating on the water that filled it. Initially I waited for him to come back but after the first 5 minutes, I realised he wasn't gonna come back. Why would he leave me here all by myself to figure this out alone? I had to halt my train of thoughts, he most likely had really important business to attend to like saving other Elemental Masters or something else. I had to help myself and for once not what for someone else to help me.
I observed my surroundings to see if there was anything around to help. All I discovered was that I was completely dry despite the toilet being submerged in water (maybe I was the one who needed to have my mental health evaluated). How was I even supposed to get down from up here? I was standing on water as if it were the solid concrete ground. Maybe I had to find some way of flushing the water out. After the initial flood of water, the level of water was just about knee height. Judging by the fact that it was reaching Kyle's thighs, the water was rising, and it was rising fast. If I didn't get down and out of the toilets quickly I'd most likely drown, that is if I could drown seeing as I was the "Elemental Master of Water" and everything, but I wasn't willing to wait and find out. Maybe if I clogged the source of water, that would stop the rising and then I'd be able to concentrate on getting down. Well...more like sources. Water was gushing out from every possible outlet; the taps, the flush toilets and the pipes. Yeah, on second thoughts that probably wasn't the greatest idea. I'd be better off leaving that to the professionals, the almighty plumbers, but boy, they were gonna have some job on their hands. There had to be a way out of this sticky situation (well more like wet actually). I would have to figure out a way to sink to the bottom (you know, the floor, where normal people usually are) so I could swim out. But how was I going to do that if I didn't even know how I started to float on the water in the first place.

'Hmm,' I thought out loud to myself.
The water was visibly rising. My head was almost touching the ceiling now. In the next ten minutes, I'd be completely submerged.

'Great,' I thought.

I had to reach the floor and fast. Well in all the movies I'd watched were a person was floating on water or flying in air and wanted to get down, they'd always try to make themselves as heavy as possible and then would think about sinking. Even if they were just movies, I still had to try cause I was well out of ideas. In my head, I imagined myself sinking down to the bottom of the lavatory with hundreds of weights attached to my body. Suddenly, even though I wasn't getting wet, I could feel the coolness of the water against my tanned, hairy arms. I was sinking! Usually in most cases that would be a bad thing but for me, it was a reason to rejoice. Slowly but surely, I was reaching the restroom floor. As I was descending, another revelation hit me. I was right; I could breathe easily underwater, in fact, it was easier to breathe underwater than above. I didn't even know how it was physically possible, my lungs were supposed to be full of water preventing me from breathing. I could feel they were filled, but it was as if the water was aiding my oxygen intake, almost as if I was absorbing the O in H2O. It reminded me of the theory that all humans were able to breathe underwater while in their mother's womb but lost the ability when born. I always knew I could hold my breath underwater for an abnormally long time but I had never actually tried to breathe underwater, I mean on a normal day, why would I. Even though breathing underwater was super scary, I would have to wait till after I was out of the water before mental breaking down and fainting, just in case I couldn't breathe (underwater) while I was unconscious.

As I finally reached the ground floor, I was able to see my reflection in the mirror. I just wanted to check if any physical changes had taken place, like me sprouting fins and gills. Luckily, all was okay, I still had my pale skin, I still had my muscular frame without any fish features (yet), my hair was still deep brown with red streaks and my eyes were glowing blue like the sea when illuminated by the moon's light (well, technically the sun's light. The moon doesn't produce its own light, but let me not bore you with the science behind it). Wait, my eyes weren't supposed to glow, so this was what Kyle was talking about. It was kinda the same glow as a werewolf in Teen Wolf who had taken the life of an innocent. But I was no killer; I couldn't even hurt a fly. I was a boy who found out he had supernatural powers, but I swear to God, if I find out that I'm also a werewolf, I'll have a heart attack. As soon as I saw my own appearance, it was like I started to lose my newly acquired powers. The glitter in my eyes started to fade and I couldn't breathe so well again.
At first, I thought, 'Perfect, this is definitely the ideal time to lose my powers, you know, my ability to breathe underwater, while I'm still underwater. Just, great.'
But no, that wasn't it, it was something else, something completely different. It felt as if someone was strangling me from the back, but when I looked back no-one was there. I knew no-one was there, so I had no reason to look back, it was just me, all alone. I'd looked back cause I actually wished someone was there trying to kill me, that would have been much better than what I was experiencing now. I'd had this feeling before, just never underwater (which I can say makes it much worse). All around, it felt as if the walls were caving in, though they didn't move an inch. I kept looking around, searching to see if anybody was around me, trying to snuff all life out of me. I was having serious anxiety, but it wasn't just anxiety, no, I knew it was much more than that. The sensation was forcing me to take quick, sharp breaths (or was that just me losing my powers). I was having a panic attack, but hey, it wasn't my fault. It was just a little bit too much for me, you know, realizing that I have all these cool but creepy supernatural abilities, the same day I see my girlfriend cheating.
I'd been told what to do if I ever had another panic attack, by the school guidance counsellor. She told me to try to slow down my breathing, but I didn't think that was the best idea seeing as I was underwater. The only thing racing through my mind (except from having a panic attack and all) was how to get out of the water. If I escaped maybe I'd be able to slow down my breathing and overcome my panic attack. If I wanted to escape, I would have to try and reach the door before I drowned. Now you're probably wondering how water was not escaping through that little gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. Well the answer is simple, there was no gap. The school installed prison grade air-tight security doors. Yep the school installed prison doors (and windows) for the freaking loo. The question that will now be buzzing through your minds now is probably, why the hell would they do that? It's a long story, robbers climbed through the restroom windows, blah blah blah, used the gap to somehow get the door open (don't ask me how, I have no idea how it was even physically possible), blah blah blah, and then they robbed the school. Yep, that's pretty much it. I guess it wasn't that long of a story after all. Anyway after all that, the management, decided to spend more money replacing the doors to prevent the further loss of money through robbery, cause that was the logical thing to do. Spend more money after a large sum of money in resources was lost, they were geniuses. Instead of the brainiacs to beef up the security which would have been at a lower price, but hey, who was I to talk; I was no security expert or economist so I have no say in the matter.
I tried to swim towards the door but at this point my vision was already beginning to blur and I was seeing everything in double. I started to lose all the strength in my body and I was about to pass out. If I was gonna live, I'd have to rely on somebody to come and save me or at least accidently open the door long enough to let all the water drain out.

'Help,' I muttered weakly with my last breath.

After that everything went black.
