I didn't know what to think of Jasper so far. But from where I stood, he seemed like quite the friendly and flirty kind. I noticed he kept eye contact a lot, smiled easily and had a way with words. To be frank, he was quite charming.

"Now, princess Fiona. Where were we?" He asked, as soon as Abel walked a few feet away to answer his phone call.

I forced a smile. "Surprise me." I said.

Jasper easily returned the smile. "It's a fake smile but it's still very beautiful, like you."

Oh, he's the perceptive one.

"And judging from how easily you blush, I can go on a limb here and say you don't go out often. Am I right?"

I blinked. "Abel just said that."

"He didn't need to. You're not very hard to read as it is." Then he glanced at Abel for a second before returning back to me. "Tell you what, how would you like to meet some new people?"

"Well, I am meeting new people now. I just met you and Katie."

"And you're satisfied with just that?"

I wasn't. "Yeah, I am."

"You're lying." He's very perceptive.

Jasper smiled before reaching into his back pocket and pulling out a small piece of paper. He handed it to me. There was a house address scribbled down on it. "There's a party there tonight at 8. And it's a good opportunity for making new friends. You know, meeting new folks. You can even tell Price about it, although, I know he's gonna be a spoilsport. But I want you to come Fiona. I'm sure it'll be a new experience for you."

"And how do you know I haven't been to a party before?"

"You haven't been to this kind of party before. That, I can bet my kidneys on." He darted his eyes to Abel again. "Look, just think about it, okay? And if you're scared of being alone, remember, I'll be there. My number is on the back of the paper, just give me a call when you get there. I gotta go." Then he quickly placed a kiss on my cheek before I could even react.

"Hey!" Abel was back, all ready to attack Jasper. "Jasper, I told you-"

"Yeah yeah. I know. You'll roast me alive. Just make sure you come with her to the party tonight. And bring Katie with you! Catch you guys later." Jasper said as he shuffled backwards towards the group of boys he'd left earlier.

"What party?" Abel asked him but Jasper ignored as he was long gone. "What party Fi?"

"Some party... Somewhere." I lifted up the piece of paper with the scribbled note on it and saw a bunch of numbers behind it. Must be his cell number.

"Jasper and his parties." Abel sighed. "Let me see... Huh? Oh, you're not going for this Fi."

I narrowed my eyes. "Why?"

"This," he lifted the paper into the air. "Is a college frat party. It's too extreme for you to go to."

"What happened to 'Fi, you should go out more often'?" I asked, mimicking his voice horribly.

"Yeah, to places you can handle. Not college parties with booze, crazy hormonal youths and illegal weed."

Now, I really narrowed my eyes at him. "And what's that supposed to mean? That I can't handle it?"

"Yes." Abel gulped when he noticed my look. "I mean, no. Well, technically, yes. Look, what I'm trying to say is-"

"I know exactly what you mean." I interrupted, not wanting to hear anymore of how Abel didn't think I could handle a little party. And then I thought back to what Jasper had said. Did I really give off naive vibes? Even to someone I just met. Was I really that see through?
