Darting down the road, Akiko dragged Uzu and Naka to U.A. It wasn't that they were late, Akiko just liked getting to school early and she unrightfully didn't trust her friends to show up on time.
Naka didn't mind though, he also got up early and so this wasn't too bad. Uzu on the other hand did not like that he- yet again- had to leave behind his games and food; the sun hadn't even risen yet.
Akiko smiled upon seeing the large building. One of the teachers must also be an early riser as the school was unlocked despite the early hour and barely peeking sun.
Sadly, as our young heroes have no sense of direction- or attention span- it took them forever to actually get to the classroom, making them pass many different places along the way, including an art room, a swimming pool and cult and a gym.
Upon arriving in the classroom, all three sat awkwardly in the corner, all too socially awkward to talk to the other three people in the room.
They instead talked to each other about something or another.
"No Uzu, I'm not writing that," Akik scolded harshly, random pieces of paper scattered out on the desk she had claimed.
"But why?! It is a great idea," Uzu defended with a smirk on his face.
"Because it is an obsession," Naka pointed out with a blank face.
"It is not!"
Akiko sighed as she tried to get her friend back on topic, she wasn't sure why she let them join in.
"What if we use it to make them walk in on Oshken which could lead into the mental break arc?" Uzu had to look at one of the pieces of paper to make sure what he was saying was the right thing.
Oh yeah, that's why. Sometimes they have half-decent ideas. "Right, so after the mental breakdown we go into Ben going to the rave."
"Yeah, then we can have some Ben x Adrain stuff," Naka cheered as Akiko dotted down the information.
"Hey! You got in!" The three spun around to see the redhead from the exam.
"Hey Kirishima," Naka greeted with a smile and slight blush.
"Simp," Uzu whispered in a teasing manner only to be shushed by him.
"What are you doing?" Kirishima leaned over the table but Akiko had started to stack the pieces of paper.
She shuffled the paper around and slotted some into small A5 folders and piling them up in the 'right' order. Once she was happy, she pulled the pieces close and laid her hand atop them. "We were plotting a story but we should stop." It wasn't that she didn't like extra help but explaining a whole story and the plot points to someone the first time you meet them doesn't usually end well.
Naka didn't take this advice as he explained the story in full. "It's about these animal people who have to save the world from these evil animal people because the main character- Ben- can help people unlock their inheritance. Ben has eagle wings and can control the weather- he's my character!"
"Woah, sounds manly. Did you draw your inspiration from Hawks? With the bird wings and all?"
"I don't know. I only chose the personality of some of the other details, Akiko came up with the rest so you'll have to ask her. Akiko does a lot of writing- especially fanfics- but this one doesn't belong to a fandom so I'm not sure where she got her inspiration from."
"Twenty-first-century pop and a ton of rain," Akiko stated bluntly. "I needed someone to help win the final battle for Fawhen, I didn't expect it to turn into its own book."
