Chapter 4:

Zachary P. O. V

I have dropped the guard at the priest place. I am still holding the sword I got from the guard. I went out of the place. I followed a different path. I continued straight until I tripped and fell. I got up I saw a bridge in front of me.
"What is a bridge doing here and there is no hole or godge to cross over". I was puzzled at this for a moment until I was grabbed and pulled in by a hand.

The place was dark with glowing paintings on the wall. In the center opposite where I am is person in red robe covering his entire body and face. I raised my defence

"What do you want". the person in red robe asked.

"Nothing". I replied

"WHAT DO YOU WANT". He said in a loud voice with the air in the room becoming thicker.

"NOTHING". I replied yelling turning around facing the exit cutting through the thick air with my sword. I ran out of there until I saw the light outside.

I escaped unharmed I continued going until the place looked recognizable to me.

"I know where the gate is from here". I thought to myself being relieved. I am at that place where I got the apple from that woman. I saw a hood hanging around there, so I took it.

I continue going till in front of that jewelry store I decided to check it out then saw a guy in red robe.

"Ok, how many of these are there or is it just one person maybe having the ability to create duplicates , clones, mirages of himself". I thought to myself

"Either way, the person seems to be looking. for something, he didn't notice that I was around"

I saw a body on the floor I guess it must be the owner
"What happened here?". I asked myself internally

I saw something shimmering I grabbed it. It was a jewel in my hands the guy in red robe turned around to attack. A dark manner came out of his towards me. I drew out my sword

Suddenly, the jewel started glowing emitting magic of its own covering me
Then, I appeared in another place and from the looks of it it's a cave. I am inside the interior part of the cave that I am in is really beautiful.

Aah, my body I can't move I feel sleepy I put the jewel in my vest it started to emit a blue energy around me. I just realized that I never got a good look at the jewel. Then with that I my eyes shut and I drift off to sleep.

At The Kings Palace
King P. O. V on this same day

I came out from my room all dressed up, ready for my duties as a king. The kingdom's well being is in my hands. I went to my king's room. I was to meet with my advisor.

In my throne room, I took a seat on my throne I was told my advisor with my highest official and some extra guards.

I hear a knock on my door my servant alongside my noble went to check out who it is.

"it is the advisor, my king". He said while taking a bow. He was wearing a suit with a bow tie. He is blonde, has blue eyes and fair in complexion. I dismissed him and he went back to his post.

There was a proposed idea of teaching servants how to fight despite still having guards but that is not the issue now.

The door was opened my advisor, official and some extra guards came in.

The advisor and official came forward while the extra guards were lined up round my throne room.

"My king, I greet you and I bear a message". . My advisor spoke in a respectful manner bowing. He was wearing his magic protection white vest, white gloves, white trouser, a long white cape that stops at the back of his knees, black shoes with black shoes and his sword strapped to around his waist. He has green hazel eyes, fair in complexion, his green banging hair is neat. He is fit and really well built.

Believe it or not he is actually much skilled and powerful than the top guard. The top guard was in his suit of armour with a blue puffy cape strapped across his breast plate.

"Greetings my advisor, top guard and everyone."
"What brings you here is anything wrong". I replied signaling him to stand.

"I bring news, my king"
"First, we got an information of a tree falling on a lady citizen. Some guards were sent to check on her and the scene. The citizen is being taken care of by healers. This happened at the garden.

Also, we got of a new threat more like threats
one took place at the garden between a tall dwarf able to use a some what powerful magic with his own animal horse that is. Then there was a rogue but we are not sure if he contributed to any destruction or not. Both were detained put into a carriage. Then on the way to the respective destination both carriages were destroyed but not at the same time."

"Where were the carriages heading to". I asked

"One was heading to the priest the other to a dungeon". He replied

"As I was saying my king, the two carriages were destroyed. There was report that there was a battle after the carriage going to the priest was destroyed. The rogue escaped one guard was brutally injured presumed to be dead but the other guard is alive.
Finally, the guard for the jewels is in need of healing and all that were injured in any way are receiving treatment." He had finished

The ending part of his story struck me, though it was meant to be a trap it was a small fragment and it is powerful.

"Have you done a full sweep through the kingdom". I asked

"We are currently carrying it out, my king". He replied.

"It is good that we handle these type of situations like this, also ensure the citizens are safe and if anyone...dies make sure their families are noted ok" I stated
"We will continue the remaining details and that guard you mentioned should come to me tomorrow by 11:00am". I continued

"Yes, my king". he replied

I made an offer for him as well as the others to have a bit to eat since they might as well be considered guests.
They agreed.
