Mia's pov:
i wake up. *sighs* another fucking day. i grab my phone from my shelf.

             1 message from daniel

i unlock my phone to see what he texted.

Daniel: yooo it's fridayy party at my house at 8 what do u think?? 

god i bearly have motivation to do anything and now party? hell no. 

                     Mia: idk man I'll think ab it

Daniel: cmon gurll get ur ass out of ur bed and stop being lazy I'm picking u up at 7.40pm

                                   Mia: ugh fine cya

i finally get up and get dressed. i go to my kitchen to make myself breakfast and i sit down and scroll through TikTok. I open Snapchat and go through stories. i check all my socials. i go back to my bed and get my computer to watch Netflix.

                    -time passes-

my phone rings. it's Emma my best friend. i answer.

Emma: eyo did u hear that Daniel's having a party tonight

                                         Mia: yeah ik

Emma: you coming??

              Mia: i really don't want to but Daniel made me go

Emma: bro get ur shit together cmon it's gonna be fun i promise. and u probably have nothing else to do am i right?

Mia: true

Emma: basically all u do all day is lay in ur goddamn bed. were 17 Mia we need to get out and have some fun

She was right.

Emma: anyway do u need a ride i can text daniel to pick u up too?

Mia: Daniel already said he's gonna pick me up

Emma: okay cool cyaa

Mia: byee

I'm really not that party type. i don't drink or smoke. i was always the lazy one who would hardly get out of bed in the morning. i do basically nothing all day. I'm pretty much an introvert and probably gonna stick with Emma or Daniel most of the time. They are my only best friends in my high school. i mean i hang out with other people too but not as much as i do with them.

my phone buzzed. 1 new message

Daniel: i'll be there in 20. U ready?

shit i totally forgot. Damn time passed so fast. i jump of my bed fast and open my closet. i put on some jeans and oversized t-shirt. i add some chains. i rush to my bathroom to do my makeup. i check my phone. 7.33 . shit i need to be fast.

i hear my doorbell ring. i open my door and see Daniel.

"hii bitchh u ready to party?" he says excitingly.

"Yeah i guess" i say not excited at all. Actually i was a little bit scared i don't like being around unknown people. I've been to parties before and I've always been like this. I fastly grab my jacket and my phone before we go.

"get into the car we have only 20 minutes left" he opens a door for me

"thanks" i mumble

"Hii girl" Emma yells

"hello i missed you dude" i say while hugging her

"i missed u too. i'm glad you decided to get ready and come. You look so pretty by the way i love your makeup" she was so excited.

For a second i was actually happy i went. i don't really party a lot. but i need to have fun sometimes.

We arrive at the party. There were a few people. Emma drags me into the living room and sits me on the couch.

"want some snacks ladies?" Daniel asks.

"yes please" Emma says and looks back at me.

"So.. tell me something you are a little quiet.. is everything okay?" Emma says looking into my eyes.

"sorry yeah everything is fine i just-"

"i know you don't want to be here" she interrupts me "look can we just have fun tonight it's going to be highschool again and suffering and you know.. please let's forget about everything and just vibe?"

"okay" i roll my eyes

"here you go i brought some chips and takis and hot Cheetos i have -"

"thanks Daniel this is enough" Emma smiles at him

"okay then. Do y'all want anything to drink?" Daniel looks at us

"yeah i'll have some vodka" Emma looks at me

"what about you Mia?"

There were a lot of people coming and i was a little uncomfortable. I didn't even hear what Daniel asked me i just kept looking around nervously.

"heeyy Mia?" Daniel waved infront of my face

"what?" i reply

"do you want-"

"hi dude" some guy taps Daniel's shoulder. It was Zack.

"oh look who actually made it" Daniel chuckles

"did you bring your girl?" Daniel asked him

"yes i did. she didn't want to come at first because she didn't want people recognizing her but she changed her mind."

"oh cool" Daniel and Zack walked away

Me and Emma just sat on the couch. I was looking around. There were some random dudes from our school and also some girls that i knew from our school and there were also some people that I've never seen in my life.

"ok you need to stop looking around and go talk to someone" she said while drinking her cup of vodka.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me up and pushed me into the crowd of people. There were so many people drinking and smoking. I didn't really like that. I looked back at Emma and she was dancing. I walked around till I saw this girl sitting on the couch trying to avoid everybody. She was on her phone. Ok Mia go talk to that girl. I went up to her. I was trying to think what the fuck should i say.
