" Okay class, your homework you had to do over the holidays was to practise a song to perform when you got back, You are year 10 now. You should be confident enough, anyone who doesnt doing will be getting detention except our new students" The teacher said "so who would like to perform first?"
After no volunteers she starts picking out people at random
"Sam would you like to try?"
"Chloe?"
"How about you Max?
Oh, Max, he was really the only guy that wasnt unbelievably rude and i really appreciated him for that. We both did music together since year 7, so we new eachother really well. He was sat right next to me.
"no thanks, Ill go later on. But i know Elleigh wants to have a go" he said elbowing my arm as i glared at him.
"Elleigh come on up!!"
"no-" i tried protesting but it didnt work, i had the entire class trying to drag me up to the front.
"c'mon, this is just like year 8!" exclaimed Holly, a girl i was close friends with
She was referring to one of the scariest timesof my life. The day i performed a solo, i was always really shy about singing infront of other people properly but i ot picked out at random and after i did the solo i ended up "smashing it" as Max said. After that most of the schools knew me for my voice, before that the only person who new about my talent was Dan.
"umm... okay" i said shyly making my way up to the front of the class
"do that Twin Atlantic song! Max yelled
There were a lot of twin Atlantic songs but i knew which one he meant.
"alright then.." the class got silent waiting for me to begin...

as i finished everyone was clapping and cheering as i made my way back to my seat with bright pink cheeks
"that was wonderful Elleigh" the teacher said to me
"that was amazing Elleigh!" Max said
"i think Max would like to o now!" i told Mrs. Reeve.
he sent me a i-will-kill-you look but he was saved by a voice coming from behind me.
"actually, umm id like a o if you dont mind" said Josh as he walked to the front
"of course! whenever you are ready Josh" Mrs. Reeve told him
"do you have a giutar?"he settled onto a chair infront of the class as the teacher handed him a black guitar that was in the recording studio. He sent me a quick glance before he started strumming.

His voice was captivating. It sent a shiver down my spine.
"he's good" Max whispered to me
"yeah he is" i whispered back not taking my eyes off Josh
Josh finished the song and the class cheered as he looked back at me agian.
"There was nothing wrong with having an amazingly attractive guy look at you, but he was also starting to get on my nerves at the same time.
"very nice Mr. franceschi" he handed the guitar back to the teacher and went back to his seat.
"did that work?" i felt him whisper in my ear
"what? work what? i whispered back
"you"
I thought for a second that he could be attractive, talented,tattoo's, piercings and was also nice, but that would be too perfect.
I didnt answer instead being saved by the bell, i hurried out of the classroom to find my friend Sophie for lunch.
