[7] Puppy

Yuxin, "How's the puppy? Have you given a name to it yet?"

Kun, "Mmn."

YuXin smiled and turned to Kun, "So? What's the name?"

Kun, "Xiao.. Xiaoyu."

YuXin chuckled softly hearing the name for the dog, Xiaoyu (Little rain ) sounded cute and fitting for the small puppy. YuXin patted Kun's arm gently, "You're pretty good at giving names. I've got some toys for Xiaoyu, you can give it to him for me."

YuXin took out a bag of toys and mini treats for the dog and placed it on Kun's desk. As much as YuXin wanted to take care of the puppy, she knew her brother would reject the suggestion. She couldn't even take care of a bonsai or herself properly, let alone taking care of a puppy. Now that the puppy is in safe hands with responsible Kun, she's more assured about its wellbeing.

During basketball practice, Zhengting casually asked Kun about the puppy's condition. "Are you taking care of the puppy well?"

Kun, "Yeah. I bought food and stuff for it."

Zhengting grinned slightly, noticing how Kun is slowly changing and becoming more outgoing as compared to before, replying to YuXin with more than just a one word answer. He was surprise how YuXin managed to thaw that cold heart of Kun's. If only she was interested in guys, they could be a perfect match.

Xiao Ning overhead their conversation and said, "Kun, you have a puppy? I have a dog too."

Kun nodded his head and turned his attention back to shooting hoops.

Xiao Ning, "If you need any help to take care of the puppy, you can ask me."

Kun, "No need."

Xiao Ning stood there awkwardlyfor a moment, her face was blushing red and she retreated back to the bench hanging her head down to note down every member's progress. Zhengting shook his head slightly, Kun is only more outgoing when he's talking to YuXin, he thought. When it comes to other girls he's still as aloof as ever.

Meanwhile, YuXin was practicing hard in the dance practice room. Her brother, Yibo, was drilling the year 1s on their basic, asking them to do warm ups that consist of 100 sit ups and multiple sets of crunches to train their core muscles before doing the dance routine.

Though YuXin was used to the usual drill, her shirt was still drenched in sweat after the physical work out.

Jiaer slung a towel on YuXin's neck and said, "Meimei, wipe your sweat off before you catch a cold." YuXin took the towel gratefully and began wiping the sweat off her face.

Jiaer whispered to her ear stealthily, "Stay back after this, I've learned a few new routines." YuXin eyes lit up and nodded eagerly as she smiled widely, excited to learn some new moves.

After the end of club practice, Yibo, Jiaer and YuXin stayed back in the practice room as they freestyled according to the playlist.

Jiaer showed off his new krump style routine and YuXin observed him closely, looking at the powerful moves trying to note them down.

Jiaer, "Its like this."

He swung his hand forcefully as if he was throwing knives and stomped the ground hard, showing the impactful dance.

YuXin nodded and mimic his moves in detail as Jiaer observed, smiling in approval. Nudging Yibo with his elbow, he said, "Meimei is real talented huh." Yibo nodded in approval, YuXin indeed has talent for catching on and learning dance moves fast.
