[8] First Match

The first interschool basketball competition was here. Reviewing their opponents, the coach was confident that with his current team and the addition of Zhengting and Kun, winning the match was going to be a breeze.

YuXin was sitting on the benches waiting excitedly for the cheerleading to start. She was here mainly to support Xue Er but she seemed to be the odd one out. Around her, the girls were all carrying banners cheering for the basketball team, especially for Kun and Zhengting.

When the cheerleading performance start, YuXin whipped out her phone and started recording. Xue Er was stunning as a flyer, performing several acrobatic moves in mid air before landing on the base precisely, aweing the crowd and Zhengting as well, who couldn't keep his eyes off the long hair goddess. He was intrigued by her professional execution of the moves in such seriousness that awed him. Beaming a smile, she made her final pose and winked towards YuXin's direction as thunderous cheers and applause filled the arena.

The match began. Zhengting and Kun worked seamlessly together passing the ball to each other in the court without the need for any communication. With the two of them, the team managed to have a 12 points lead from their opponents at the end of the first half of the competition.

Kun caught sight of YuXin in the crowd of spectators and she immediately waved excitedly, giving Kun a thumbs up for his brilliant performance. The girls around YuXin started shrieking, going gaga when they saw Kun looking at their direction.

"Ahh, ice prince is looking at me!"

"He's so handsome, just like the Prince in a comic book. "

"I know, I can stare at him all day."

YuXin bit her lips to contain the smile listening to all the praises the girls were saying to Kun picking up a few praises that she could use to tease Kun later.

The basketball match ended with no surprise, and Kun's team won by a huge margin. As the rest of the team members wore a huge grin on their face, cheering to celebrate the win, Kun's face remained stoic and unchanging, as if the win had nothing to do with him. He was about to walk back to the changing room when someone threw a piece of candy towards his direction and he caught it with his reflex.

Looking up at the audience, he noticed YuXin standing near the steps, mouthing congratulations to him. He nodded his head barely and held on to the candy in his hand.

"Xue Er!" YuXin shouted in delight, spotting the long hair girl amongst the crowd. She ran towards her with a huge grin on her face and hugged her tightly, "You were amazing just now!"

YuXin handed a bottle of chilled water to Xue Er as Zhengting walked towards the duo, adding "Great job on the cheerleading performance just now."

He looked at Xue Er with a sincere smile and Xue Er almost choked on her drink hearing his voice from the back.

Xue Er, "Th-Thank you. Great game too.."

She smiled and bowed courteously to Zhengting, averting any eye contact while Zhengting kept his thousand watt smile on his face. YuXin, who was observing the whole scene in front of her could tell some feelings was about to bloom between the two of them. Sniggering softly, she muttered a silent prayer for Zhengting in courting Xue Er. If Yibo was considered a sistercon, restricting guys from coming near YuXin, Jiaer is on another league of teasing and pestering Xue Er's suitors just for kicks.

When YuXin brought Xue Er into the house, she saw Jiaer lounging in her living room with his legs propped up on the coffee table making himself thoroughly at home while Yibo was in the kitchen preparing dinner.

YuXin, "You are going to be fused to my living room's couch soon."

Xue Er took a couch pillow and walloped it on Jiaer roughly, "Yah, could you please sit properly, this isn't your home."
