[20] Trip

Xue Er, "Wahh it's been so long since I took a trip. Little potato, When's the last time you took a trip out?"

YuXin look at Xue Er with an amused expression, "When I went to America and came back recently?"

Xue Er slapped her forehead and apologised, "Sorry sorry. I forgot about that.."

YuXin chided her, "Yeah I know, dating Zhengting took up all your braincells."

Xue Er stuck out her tongue and made a face back at YuXin. The four of them were currently in the train on the way to the outskirt where the onsen resort was located at. Yuxin and Kun were sitting at the opposite side of Zhengting and Xue Er in the private cabin of the train.

The train ride was going to take several hours to reach their destination. After eating their lunch, most of them were feeling the food coma. Xue Er had already hugged on to Zhengting comfortably as she snuggled on his arm to take a nap.

YuXin stifled a yawn and rubbed her eyes tiredly. She'd rushed through her assignment yesterday night to meet the deadline and now her eyes were about to close.

Kun, "Tired?"

YuXin nodded, "Stayed up to do essay."

Kun scooted closer to YuXin and tapped on his shoulder, "I can lend you my shoulder."

YuXin looked up and kun and pressed her lips together as she smiled, "copycat. Thanks but I'm alright."

She leaned back on the train seat as her eyelids felt heavier, threatening to close. Soon, YuXin couldn't fight with the drowsy feeling and fell asleep. Her head leaned to the left and she was slowly tilting nearer and nearer and she was inches from having her face smack right on the window pane. Upon seeing this, Kun wrapped his arm around YuXin's shoulder and gently pushed her head towards him, resting on his shoulder.

Feeling the warmth emanating from Kun, YuXin snuggled her head on his shoulder comfortably with a blissful smile on her face that made Kun smile slightly with her adorable reaction. Seeing that everyone was sleeping, Kun closed his eyes to rest as well.

Xue Er woke up with a surprising view in front of her. YuXin was lying on Kun's shoulder while the latter had his cheek resting on YuXin's head. If she hadn't known better, she would have mistaken the two as a couple. Smirking, Xue Er picked up her phone and started snapping photos of the two of them stealthily. Always calling me and Zhengzheng as lovebirds, you are acting like one with Kun too.

They reached their destination hours later and were greeted by a staff who introduced the place to them, "the onsen is on the first floor on the right of the lobby with an indoor and outdoor area."

She brought them to their rooms that was just beside each other. "Enjoy your stay here, please inform us when you are ready for dinner, we will serve it in your room."

YuXin smiled slyly and nudged Xue Er , "So? Are going to sleep with me, your best friend since childhood, or the love of your life Zhengting?"

Xue Er shoved YuXin lightly and scowled, hugging on to Zhengting's arm. "I'd choose ZhengZheng over you. You have bad sleeping patterns don't you know?"

YuXin, "That's not true! If you want to sleep with Zhengting you can just say so.."

Zhengting stepped in between the two quarrelsome friends and said, "Okay bickering best friends we need to get into our room. Babe you will sleep with YuXin while Kun and I will share a room alright?" He patted Xue Er's head affectionately.

Xue Er nodded her head and sighed dramatically, "Yeah, guess I have to sacrifice myself for the greater good."

When they entered their respective room, they were greeted by the Japanese style tatami room with wooden sliding door as partition between the dining area and the room that had futons neatly arranged in the wardrobe.
