[16] Dilemma

Yibo, "How's school so far? You doing okay?"

YuXin returned Yibo's worried glance with a confused look, "Hey, I'm kind of a genius here, I should be the one asking you that."

Yibo shoved YuXin's head lightly and put on the helmet on her head dotingly. He'd returned from America together with YuXin. In fact, YuXin's parents also followed her back for the first few weeks and YuXin begged them to go back to their volunteering work. She couldn't stand having three people hovering around her all the time, just having one was enough on her plate. Her parents left reluctantly after YuXin promised to give them a video call once a day and reminded Yibo countless times to take care of YuXin properly. Yibo though, doesn't need any reminders since he has been taking care of YuXin like an overprotective brother for the longest time. 

 He managed to transfer his credits from his college in America to match with the modules in this college so he was now a sophomore majoring in engineering together with Jiaer. 

Yibo, "Mind you, you are not the only genius in the house." 

Yibo was on Dean's list in his previous college on top of attending dance lessons in America and running to the hospital every other day to visit his sister. So it wasn't far fetch to say that the intelligent genes was also running in him. 

YuXin nodded her head halfheartedly and climbed on Yibo's new Yamaha bike muttering, "Why is your bike so much bigger than before.. So difficult to get on."  

Yibo shook his head and sigh, "Don't diss my wife." 

YuXin rolled her eyes silently and wrapped her arms around Yibo's waist as he drove off.

The next day, some of the girls in his class crowded around him and cooed, "Yibo, I saw you riding on your bike in the morning. That is so cool, can you give us a ride too?" 

Yibo glanced at them and smile slightly, "Sorry, I don't let girls on my bike." 

"Ah? But I saw you fetching a girl in the morning, how's she any different from us?" 

Jiaer clasped his hand on Yibo's shoulder and said, "Of course she is different. She is the only one that could make Yibo's emotion go up and down like a roller-coaster. If she gets hurt.."Jiaer shook his head and tsked at them," You can expect hell from Yibo.. And me as well." He flashed them an angelic smile after his harsh words and the girls gulped anxiously, walking away from Yibo's table slowly.

Yibo,"Did you need to do that?"

Jiaer, "Of course, or do you want to see meimei get hurt? She's your precious little bean mind you."

Yibo nodded in agreement, better to give them a warning before YuXin gets hurt for no reason.

YuXin on the other hand was oblivious about the commotion in Yibo's class and was busy chatting with her classmates. The conversation soon changed its direction towards the mysterious ice prince.

"YuXin, how are you so close to the ice prince? I've never seen him taking the initiative to talk to any other girls before and sitting beside a girl."

YuXin, "Ah.. I was his seat partner for a while in high school."

Kun, "She's more than that."

Kun walked into the class and sat down beside YuXin without glancing at the other girls, stunning them with his sudden appearance. YuXin laughed awkwardly and added, "Yeah, I'm also his good friend."

Kun mumbled under his breath, "not for me." He was determined to stay by YuXin's side. That was how he was, once he set his sight on something, he would work towards it relentlessly regardless of anything. The fact that YuXin was sick did not waver his feelings towards her. Instead, it made him want to stay by her side even more. Even if the time he had with her may not be forever, he wanted to cherish every single moment.
