It was finally November which meant the start of the holiday season! More importantly, it meant our football season was even busier than ever.

It was seven and I was done getting ready so I went up to my room to wait until we were leaving. I decided to read the note I had found last night in my room. I was kinda freaked out because my secret admirer now had access to my house which meant the line of boys that this could be was smaller. Parker was becoming a top contender to my dismay.

Josylne. I know this is killing you not knowing who I am, but I don’t care. I haven’t said for reasons that I’d rather not speak off. I’m sure you’ll get tired of being alone and so will I, and I will come find you. You haven’t tried enough because you are still recovering from the pain of the past. You show affection behind the wall of glass, but one day I will kiss you and that wall will shatter down. You will believe in love again.

Okay this was officially my favorite so for. I stopped to think for a second, not many people know what happened between Matt and I. People knew I was dating him but never what happened. Fuck there goes more guys off the list, except Parker.

I’m was stuck on the bus with the team driving and hour and a half to our game. I was the only girl on the bus since the cheerleaders had a different one, for obvious reasons. Miranda was driving to the game with one of our other friends. I was sitting by the window next to Max. Jayden and Parker were a couple rows in front of us talking strategies or something. They were freaking over tonights game..

“Ready for tonight Maxxy?” I asked. Since it was November and we live in Massachusetts it was freezing. I was wearing Max’s warm-up jacket and I was still cold.

“Hell yes!” He said.

I was glad I was water girl because I never would have had a friendship with Max if not. Max is a junior like me so when the whole team leaves next year I still have some connection to be down on the field. The only bad things was the team thought we were going to hookup. I’m fairly certain there was a bet going on about it too.

Parker and Jayden stood up and began the chants. They walked up and down the aisle getting the boys pumped. Parker past Max and I and he had this weird expression on his face. I turned to Max but he shrugged it off.

“Let’s kick some ass tonight!” Jayden yelled.

Since we were the away team our stands weren’t very full but we still had a decent crowd, like the seniors. The home side wasn’t that full either. I felt bad, I always feel bad when we play a team who doesn’t have support.

By the half time the score was 51-7. You could tell there team was done. I was standing on the sidelines freezing my ass of.

“All right boys, take a breather. I’m going to send in second string.” Coach said.

Our normal guys stood off to the side catching their breath as we put in our less skillful players. I walked over to where everyone stood.

“How the fuck are they not freezing?” Jared said. He was talking about the cheerleaders, more importantly his cheerleader.

The second string played the entire end of the game and we still won. The final score was like 65-14. It was bad.

We got back on to the bus and headed out. Its a football tradition that everyone goes to this little diner after away games, regardless if we win or lose. Miranda met us there so I sat with her.

“That was pathetic,” She said. Jayden came behind her. They sat together so I slid into the other side of the booth.

“Where’s Mags?” I asked referring to who she went to the game with.

“Had to go.”

Parker and Max came and squeezed into the side of the booth with me. I was stuck in the middle between the two of them.

I was laying in bed listening to my music when the door open. I expected it to be Lexis. When I got home she was crying because she was afraid and Cassadee wouldn’t let her sleep with her. Instead Miranda walked into my room. I took my headphones off and sat up. She walked over to the edge of my bed and sat, not before shutting the door of course.

“What’s up?” I asked.

She hesitated before saying anything. “Are you and Max a couple?”

I burst out laughing. Oh my god! She thought me and Max were a couple, wait till I tell him. We had this on going bet on who would ask us that more and now we were tied. “Of coarse not!” I managed to get out. I mean Max was a cool guys and we had fun together but he wasn’t my type and I wasn’t his. I mean how cliche would it be to fall for him he’s one of my best friends.

“Oh cause it sure seemed like it tonight. Are you sure he doesn’t like you?” She questioned.

I laughed more. Max and me? Wow people really did watch everyone’s every move. “I am sure. I know who he likes.” Max liked this adorable freshman girl but he was to scared to talk to the poor girl. It was adorable because they are both painfully awkward, oh how I remember those days.

“All right. I was just asking cause people were talking.”

This sent me into another fit of giggles. I mean sure we acted like we were together sometimes but in a best friend kind of way. “Miranda nothing to worry about. Now I’m going to sleep before I die of laughter.”
