Scars | Harry Potter x Reader (taking a pause)

Year 1: Finally a Friend!

After that you had been taken to the actual castle called Hogwarts. You were angry at Harry for causing such a scene and that now you wouldn't be able to ride the Hogwarts express. He was still unconscious on the bed after you had been escorted to the hospital wing.

You had been there for hours just sitting there on a chair waiting for Harry to wake up.

"Erm may I please have a cup of water?" You asked Madam Pomfrey who was the nurse at Hogwarts.

"Of course dear" she said as she went to get you water, "also Y/n, did your scar hurt in Diagon Alley?".

You were almost shocked she asked. "Yeah it did but it wasn't as painful as Harry made it out to be".

"Peculiar" she said as she handed you the water.

"When do students arrive?" you inquired.

"They don't arrive until tomorrow."

"So that means I actually could've gotten to ride the Hogwarts Express?"

"I mean yes but you are already here"

You sighed.

"Is Harry alright?"

"Yeah he is fine he actually woke up in the middle of the night but fell back asleep"

"What exactly happened to him"

"Harry's scars started burning I assume and it hurt so much it knocked him out."

"Why do our scars burn though? I've never heard of someone that has a scar say it just randomly burns and also, how come they started burning at the same time?"

"Um well I don't think- uh oh look at the time! I'm supposed to have a meeting with all the teachers preparing for tomorrow."

With that, she quickly left the room. You just sat there when Harry finally woke up.

"Harry are you alright?" you asked excitedly.

"Yeah" he said still groggy.

"I'm fine but what made our scars burn and at the same time too?" you asked him.

"I'm not sure because when I asked the nurse she said she had to meet up with someone named Dumbledore."

"That's weird because when I asked her she rushed off saying that she had to go to a meeting."

"Why was I screaming and you weren't?"

"You're just a baby I reckon" you giggle.

"Is that so?" he said then grabbing a pillow and throwing it at you.

You laughed and did the same back. You never had friends back at the orphanage so this was nice for you. You were both laughing while throwing pillows at each other and didn't even realize who walked in.

He was tall with hair black as the night. He did not have a smile what so ever and talked with an emotionless voice.

"I see you've woken" he said with no expression to Harry. "You need to rest for tomorrow's ceremony.".

"Ceremony sir?" you asked confused.

"Oh you didn't know? Every new year, the day before classes start there is a large ceremony held to start the new year. The first years are to be sorted into their houses and a large feast is held." he said acting like he didn't give a care in the world.

"What houses?" Harry asked.

"There are four houses and it is based off your personality and mindset. The houses are Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. But you will find out what all this means tomorrow as I assume you're both going."

"I hope we are as long as his scar doesn't mess with him again." you said.

"Very well" he had said as he left the room.

"That was weird but what house do you think you are gonna be sorted into?" Harry asked.

"I have no idea. I guess the Gryffindor one sounds cool."

"Yeah it has a nice ring to it." you both laughed at Harry's joke.

"Ugh what are we going to do all night I'm so bored." you told Harry.

"Yeah same. Hmmm".

"Maybe you want to explore a little?" Harry said will give you a grin and a wink.

You both laughed and you agreed.

He started to get up but fell back onto the bed "darn this scar has some after effects on me".

"That's weird I feel fine. Oh I have an idea!" You walk over to him and try to pick him up for a piggy back ride but you can't even pick him up and you falls backwards. You started bursting out laughing along with him so loud that all the teachers in the castle could probably hear. You didn't care though because it felt good to have a friend for once. The rest of the night you and Harry talked and make jokes before dozing off to sleep.
