Scars | Harry Potter x Reader (taking a pause)

Year 1: Let me in

It was time to go and see your common rooms and dorm. You decided it was for the best to go with the Slytherins because you couldn't get expelled when you haven't even started classes yet.

You dreaded parting ways with Harry, Ron, and the twins as they were your only friends you had made. You especially hated parting ways with Harry since you two had growled close over the past few days.

When you walked with the Slytherins they all ignored you probably embarrassed to be in the same house as you. You were fine with it though because they all seemed rude anyways. When you got to the common room it was cold dark and green. You looked at it with a face of disgust and then you made your way to your dorm. You shared a dorm with a girl that was laughing with Malfoy during your fight with Snape. You ignored her along with everyone else in your dorm.

You were told that you were free for the rest of the night but you had to be back to your house by 8:00. It was 7:00 right now so you had an hour. You obviously went to the Gryffindor common room and knocked on the photo which had a large lady on it. "Harry? Ron? Fred? George?" no response from any of them. "Can you please let me in" you said to the lady in the photo.

"No you are a Slytherin" she said oddly scared and you didn't know why.

"No the stupid old hat messed up, I'm supposed to be in Gryffindor."

"Go away or I'll call Filtch"

"I'm not scared of you so now let me in or else."

"I shall not"

"NOW"

"NO I FORBID IT YOU ARE A SLYTHERIN JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER TRYING TO BE IN GRYFFINDOR BUT IN SLYTHERIN BUT GUESS WHAT! HE GOT HIMSELF LOCKED UP IN AZKABAN!"

You got even angrier your face turning red and hot to the point you tried pulling the painting to open it. "I'll warn you one more time!".

Right as you said that, you heard someone walking in the hall. Panicking you ran down the hall when she screamed "SHE WENT THAT WAY" pointing in the direction of which you went. Then she realized it was Harry who was trying to find you.

"What are you talking about?" you heard Harry ask.

Recognizing his voice, you ran back and hugged him in your arms so tight missing him.

"I missed you!" you said to him excited.

"I did too! Where were you? I went to the Slytherin common room to try and find you!" he exclaimed.

"Oh I did the same trying to get into the Gryffindor common room but this ugly prune wouldn't let me. And made fun of my father!"

He looked at the lady in the painting and asked "well why didn't you let her in?".

"Because she isn't a Gryffindor!" she yelled.

"Pig snout" Harry said to the painting which opened.

You and Harry walked in as you smirked at the painting in pride.

No one was in the common room so you and Harry sat on the couch talking. Their room was way brighter and nicer and less prison like which you didn't think was fair.

A girl with light brown, poofy hair walked in the room. "You're the girl that yelled at Snape during dinner aren't you?".

"Yes got a problem with that" you said with an attitude.

"You could have gotten expelled! Good thing you don't know any spells or you would've attacked him so bad to the point you got sent to Azkaban with your father.".

Your face went hot. "How do you know my father is in Azkaban?".

"Literally everyone is talking about but I do not know who it is but the teachers seem to.".

You realized you didn't even know who your father was.

"Well do you want to hang out with me and Harry?" you asked her kindly trying to be nice to make friends.

"No. Thank you for the offer though but we have classes tomorrow and we cannot be late. I suggest you do the same.".

"Yeah I guess you're right." Harry said.

"Ok well see you all tomorrow!" you said.

You acted as though you were walking out but when you saw Harry and the girl walk to their dorms you came back and laid on the couch. You dozed off into sleep but you had a horrid dream which left you to wake up in the middle of the night shaking, sweating, and breathing heavy. It was still dark outside when you woke up. You walked over to the window cracked it open feeling the fresh cold air on your hot and sweaty face. You looked out and saw the stars which were glistening in the sky. For a moment you felt peace and then you looked at the clock which stated it was 5:27 in the morning. You were supposed to wake up at 6:00 to get ready for breakfast at 6:30 and then classes started at 7:00. You decided you should just stay up and not risk being late to classes as you were already in too much trouble. You didn't want to go to the Slytherin house though so you just sat on the couch with your own thoughts. You wondered if your father knew that you were at Hogwarts. You wondered if maybe you could get a way to contact him. You also wondered what he was in Azkaban for. Then you heard someone walk out of their dorm and quickly turned to see who it was and you were pleasantly surprised to see Harry.

"What are you doing here Y/n?"

"Oh I slept on the couch and woke up early so I decided to stay here"

"Oh. Why are you so red?!"

"Umm bad dream"

"Oh really I did too? Are you ok?" he said walking over to you giving you a hug to comfort you.

"Well I best get going to get ready."

"Ok after classes do you want to go on a walk around the school?"

"I would love to but I have detention"

"Oh yeah, do you know when it'll be over?"

"Not sure, he was pretty mad yesterday"

"Yeah well you're welcome to come here when you're done"

"Ok thank you!" you said walking out of the common room blushing yet you weren't sure why.".
