Year 3: Night Pranks

You woke up the next morning and rushed getting ready and headed straight to breakfast making sure not to see Harry.

The only person you saw at breakfast out of your friend group was Hermione. You also saw Crabbe snickering across the hall when you realized the expression you had on your face.

"Good morning" she said overly happy.

"Yeah" you scoffed as you sat down grabbing your goblet of pumpkin juice.

"What's wrong with you" she asked.

"Nothing" you lied.

"I know when you're lying" Hermione added.

"Hermione, I'm fine" you said annoyed.

"Y/n!" you heard the last voice you wanted to hear say as he practically ran towards you.

He sat down next to you and with a mischievous look on his face. You scooted over away from him and put on a fake smile.

"Aren't you happy?!" he asked trying to make you excited.

"For what?" you asked annoyed.

"You knowwww" he smirked.

"No I don't" you said.

He yanked you out of your seat and pulled you out of the great hall. You saw Ron yawning loud as he gave a dreadful "morning" to both of you.

You both replied "morning" to him but Harry seemed to be in a bit of a hurry.

"What do you want?" you blurred out.

"Why're you so angry?" Harry asked.

You looked around the hallway desperately and saw Luna skipping down the hall.

"Hi Luna!" you said "Harry can I go hang out with her. I've barely gotten to all year".

"You can later" he replied taking you farther.

"You are an actual asshole" you told him.

He ignored you and you realized that he direction you were headed.

He finally let go of you when you entered the DADA classroom and you walked through the sunlit room up the stairs.

You both walked into Lupins office to see him packing things up with faint music playing.

"Hello Harry and Y/n" he said without turning around.

You and Harry gave each other confused looks when Lupin turned around not looking his brightest.

"I saw you coming" he said pointing to the Marauders Map that was opened on the desk.

He then flicked his wand at a box that shut which startled Harry.

"I've looked worse" Lupin said.

You then examined him to see his hair messed up with more than normal scratches on his face and pale skin.

"You've been sacked?" Harry asked worried.

Oh god you hoped not.

"No, no. I resigned actually." Lupin said.

"What why?!" you asked. He was the only teacher that you felt cared for you more than the others. He was like a dad to you. A dad you never had at least.

"Well, it seems that somebody let slip the nature of my condition. This time tomorrow the owls will start arriving and parents will not want a um.. well someone like me teaching their children" Lupin said disappointed.
