Year 2: Nice Necklace

After class you were walking with Thomas and two of his friends. One was named Cedric Diggory who was a Hufflepuff, Noah Caspen who was also a Hufflepuff, and Odette Callisto who was in Slytherin. They were all very nice and didn't treat you like a little kid which you appreciated.

"How did you two meet anyways?" Cedric asked.

"Well I was fighting with Daddy's boy and his little toy army" you said smirking "and Thomas here finished it for me.".

"Well you both definitely are Slytherins I have to admit" Noah said.

You all chuckled and Cedric said "well too bad you're not old enough to go to Hogsmeade yet or I would ask if you wanted to come with us later".

"Oh yeah that's nice of you but I have detention but I probably won't go, and plans after that.".

"I know this is out of the blue but you two look oddly similar" Odette said pointing to you and Thomas.

"Nah Thomas is way too hot to look like me" you said grinning.

They looked at you confused but smirked and you realized what they thought you meant.

"Oh no no no you got it all wrong. I call plenty of people hot and that doesn't mean I have a crush on them. For example Harry. He is my best friend and he is hot as hell and that doesn't mean I like h-" you stopped yourself.

"Ooo does Y/n have a crush on the Harry Potter" Noah said.

You immediately turned red and said to them "of course I don't! He's my best friend I... I was just thinking".

That was true as you were just embarrassed at the thought.

They gave you the same look the twins gave you when you did certain un ordinary things with Harry. They all shrugged it off and started talking about their class.

You all walked until you were separated from them as you went to the Gryffindor common room.

As you walked in Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny , Neville, Fred, George, Seamus, and Dean were all sitting there talking. It was weird though because Seamus turned red when he saw you walk in.

"I'm not gonna push you off the chair again" you said chuckling at him.

"Oh you thought I was nervous of that Y/n?" he said laughing and standing up walking towards you. "Y/n can you come with me, I need to tell you something." he said getting red.

"Oh I'm sorry can it wait till later because I have to meet up with someone soon." you said.

"Who?" he asked concerned.

"Oh just someone I met in the hallways"

"Oh ok" he said a little sad.

You had a confused face on as why he was so worried but you shrugged it off.

"Well I was just coming by to tell you why I won't be here for a few hours."

Harry stood up and moved Seamus to the side a little as he was just standing there staring at you looking hurt as you also saw an angry face on George but it was directed towards Seamus. Fred looked angry once he saw George was angry and you were just standing there in pure confusion as no one was talking and half of them looked angry and Neville, well Neville was daydreaming.

"Ok well I'm gonna go..." you said awkwardly.

You walked out and headed to the Slytherin common room. Once you walked in, Draco, Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle were on the two couches and glanced you a dirty look when you walked in. You walked into your dorm and got changed into a long sleeve shirt and leggings to make sure none of your scars were visible. You also put your hair in a high ponytail and were off.

You walked to the quidditch field to see Thomas getting everything ready.

"Oh hi there Y/n!" he said.

"Hello" you said.

"Bit hot to be wearing a long sleeve shirt am I right?"

"Nah I'm fine." you said actually dying of heat.

He then explained all the rules and every tip you needed to know. You then played and had a blast.

"Wow you're a natural Y/n!"

"Nahhh"

You both chuckled and then started packing everything back up.

"Did you ever go to that detention?" Thomas asked.

"No I personally think I didn't do anything wrong. It was all Malfoy's fault anyways."

He then gave you a high five and you started walking back. It was getting dark and Thomas had went back to the Slytherin common room. You were going to go ask what Seamus was going to tell you when you realized this was your perfect chance to go to the moon.

You bumped into someone and immediately said "sorry".

You turned around to see a girl with blonde hair in Ravenclaw face you.

You decided to be nice and said "hi my name is Y/n Y/l/n.".

"Hello Y/n, I'm Luna Lovegood."

"Well Luna do you want to come with me to the astronomy tower?" you said as the girl named Luna seemed nice and maybe you could make another friend.

"That's very kind of you"

You hadn't known if it was a yes or no so you decided to walk off when Luna had followed you. You were very uncomfortable as the girl wasn't talking and she was just walking with a soft no teeth smile on her as she seemed unbothered.

"So Luna, what do you do in your free time?"

"I usually walk through woods feeding Thestrals."

You were completely confused as what Thestral was. She never returned the question to you so you just said "well I'm trying out to be a seeker this year for the Slytherin quidditch team".

She smiled and nodded her head. You got to the astronomy tower and sat down as Luna leaned against the wall looking at the moon.

You realized that she wasn't wearing any shoes and asked "aren't your feet cold?".

"A bit"

"Where have your shoes gone?"

"I'm not sure. I think the Nargles are behind it."

You nodded also not knowing what a Nargle was. You leaned you head against the wall and looked at the moon. You then looked back at Luna and said "Nice necklace".

"It's a charm actually," she said and whispered "to keep away the Nargles. I could make one for you if you'd like.".

"Sure" you said chuckling.

"Well we best get going before it's too late." you said.

She just nodded her head and stayed there as you walked out. You were quite confused about your encounter with that girl as you barely spoke because she wasn't that good at having a conversation.
