As I followed her scent, I was led to a pond. Several girls stood by the lake, screaming for help. I ran over, my heart pounded hard with a quick pace against my chest. My face was flushed with rage as I yelled, "Is Kandy the one that drowned?"A girl with blonde hair and glasses looked at me, "I don't know! We saw someone falling and splashing so we ran over!"
I bit my lip and kicked my shoes off, "Why didn't any of you jump in?!"
Another girl yelled, "There's an alligator squad in there you idiot!"
I jumped in. I don't care about any alligators. My mate was drowning and that's all it matters. I swam around in the freezing water and cursed, "Fuck fuck fuck! Where is she?!" I dove under water and opened my eyes. Damn! It stung and hurt as fuck! My wolf guided me to her. She laid there, drifting lower and lower and deeper into the water. I grabbed her hand before she touched the bottom. I hugged her and tried to swim up. It was hard. The weight of both of us pulled me down but I kept swimming. I won't leave her alone.
When I broke surface, I heard more screaming, "Swim faster! Eek!"
They pointed at something. I turned to look into the large eyes of an alligator. I rapidly swam faster to the group of girls. I handed Kandy to them and they hauled her up. I watched. I was scared as fuck. I might die. But as long as Kandy was ok, it will be alright for me.The girls suddenly let Kandy lay on the ground and tried to help me up. I let them help me and ran over to Kandy the minute I was on land. Was it too late?
