Waking up lost in the lips of your mate was truly a wonderful thing. I coughed up water. A lot of water. I saw Sam. That made my heart race with excitement. He was dripping wet from head to toe. He laughed when he saw my eyes and kissed me. His eyes -which were dancing with excitement as well as mine were- closed but I pulled back and smile sheepishly, "Sam. Don't," I saw the disappointment in his eyes when I said that. He thought I meant to not kiss me so I continued, "Kiss me with your eyes open."
He grinned and kissed me again. Just as I was about to kiss him back, someone cleared their throat, "And here we were, so worried for you while you make out with whoever he is."
I looked up, "Mom...?"
Ebony pulled me up as Strider looked at Sam up and down. I knew what she was thinking. I had been feeling aches in my chest the past few days I didn't see him and Strider knew it. She didn't like him for making me suffer. None of them did. They all knew that when I saw him the last time, he had hidden from me and ignored me. Yet they smiled at him, trying to make him feel welcome, which made me smile.Sam touched my arm as we got close to my house. He was walking me home since everyone else thought it'd be best if we were left alone. Of course Foxxy thought it would be fun to mess with us for a bit longer but Steroids pulled her away.
I looked into Sam's eyes, we've been quiet the whole way. If he didn't want to talk about why he was hiding from me, I wasn't gonna ask him. He leaned in. I thought he was kiss me so I closed my eyes. But all I heard was a laugh. I opened my eyes and blushed profusely. He smiled, "I know we're both soaking wet but wanna go the park?"
I giggled, "Well, we shouldn't waste a perfect day!"He took my hand in his and led the way. I smiled and followed him, sniffing. He smelled strong. He was wearing a lot of AXE cologne. We walked into a forest and I looked around, "Sam this is not a park."
He chuckled, "You don't say! This is usually where I am if I'm not home." He pulled me to a tree and sat down, leaning against the tree. He patted the space between his legs, "Come sit." Nervously, I obeyed him and sat down slowly. He pulled me closer to him and my back collided with his chest. I felt him breathing down my neck as he hugged me, "This is my favorite tree."
I closed my eyes, "Mmm." And leaned back my head so that it rested on his shoulder.
He leaned his head on my head and asked, "So how'd you drown?"
I giggle, "So that you would come find me."
"What about the car accident?"
"That was an accident."
"Memorable accident."
I agreed, "That was a memorable accident."
I turned my head to face him and he kissed me. I kissed him back as he deepened it. I turned my body position so that I was facing him. His hands rested on my back and I touched his wet hair. I felt his tongue touch my lips, waiting for an opening. I kept my mouth closed, not letting him in. He growled, "Kandy!" I smiled and opened my mouth as his tongue explored my mouth softly.
He kissed me like his life depended on it and I kissed him back the same way. Sam opened his eyes to look at me again, "How come you never close your eyes when we kiss?"
"So that I can see your expression as you kiss me."
He took one of his hands off my back and covered my eyes. It was dark but I felt the warmth of his body and his tongue as it trailed down to my neck. That was enough. I didn't want to let go of this moment. Ever.
