My Dilemma

Kandy

I walked into the house. Ebony and Shadow were waiting in the living room. I waved, "Need to talk?"
Shadow looked up from his phone, "Did you have sex with him yet?"
Ebony snorted and I laughed, taking a seat across from them, "No! We just met. Sheesh!"
Ebony tucked her hair behind her ear, "He really seems to care about you."
I glanced at her, "You think?"
Shadow shrugged, "He did pull you out of the lake even though there was an alligator squad in there. He deserves a few points."
I shrugged, "I don't know. I don't want him."
Ebony's eyes sparkled with interest, "You DON'T want him?!"
I shook my head, "I don't want him, but my wolf does. She thinks he's perfect."
Shadow turned to me, "Why?"
I stood up, "I don't wanna talk anymore. This is tiring. Is Strider home?"
Ebony nodded, "She's probably in her room, on YouTube again."
I laughed and went to Strider's room. I could hear her laughter as well as Dan's voice. Dan is a you tuber that she LOVES to watch. I opened her door and saw Dan's video on her computer. I walked in and shut the door, "Did he make a new video?"
Strider nodded, "Yea. Come sit here. I'll start over."
Strider was my oldest sister. She was also my best friend. Our whole family is pretty tight.

Strider looked at me after the video was done, "Kandy, are you ok?"
I nodded, "Of course."
"Does it have something to do with your mate?"
"Kinda"
"Does he not want you?"
"I don't know Strider, I don't even know if I want him."
Strider pat my head, "It's ok."
I smiled at Strider, "Yeah..."

I was lying on my bed, did Sam love me? Even though he gave soft kisses and I liked those, did I want him? My wolf loves him so can I learn to love him? I rolled on the bed. All I knew was that I wanted to be with him. To own him and keep him. It felt right to be with him. To kiss him and touch him. But love had nothing to do with it. I'm sure it didn't.

I woke up with a sound from my window. Someone was throwing rocks onto the window. But softly so it seemed like a tap. I stood up and walked over to the window and looked out. Dean. Dean waved at me from below. He was my childhood friend. Everyone had thought that Dean would end up being my mate. I had thought the same thing. But fate played a cruel trick on us.
I grabbed a sweatshirt and ran down. It was still chilly because I only had on a t-shirt with the sweatshirt over it and nike shorts. I threw the front door open and Dean smiled. Dean gave me a rose, "Morning sunshine."
I laughed and let him in. Dean looked around, "Did your parent have a meeting again?"
I nodded. Dean would know because he was also part of my pack. My sisters came down. Foxxy reached out, "Where's flowers for US?"
Dean laughed sheepishly, "Sorry, I could only get one. My mom would kill me if I get 3."
Strider went into the kitchen but Foxxy stayed, "So why are you here so early again, Dean?"
"I was just wondering if Kandy was feeling better."
"She's alright now as you can see. You done?"
I laughed and cut them off, "Let's eat breakfast together."
I went to the kitchen where Strider was making coffee for us, "Oh hey Kandy, here's your hot chocolate."
I nodded, "Thanks."

After we ate the breakfast I made, Dean left, saying he had something to do.
I was swimming in the pool with Foxxy and Strider when I suddenly felt a wave of emotions. I found myself sobbing as I surfaced. Strider and Foxxy came to me but I couldn't stop myself. My wolf was overcome with her emotions and she had let it out. But I didn't know why she was sad. She didn't talk to me. She just cried. And I cried with her.
